Spring is coming early, and it sure feels like it. It’s Feb 2. I’ve been doing Spring cleaning all through January and I didn’t know it. I keep getting emails from promoters advertising all these great music shows. For example – “PRE-SALE: Stick Figure w/ Pepper, Twiddle, Trivium/Beartooth, & Get The Led Out .” TBH they all sound like shit bands that I would never see, especially a Led Zepplin cover band. I FUCKING HATE COVER BANDS! The other reason is that during the fake pandemic you couldn’t even go to any of these cunting shows unless you were fully vaccinated and boosted. These motherfuckers were marching along to the jackbooted tyranny of Dr Fauci, the fake government, the fake news, and every other CUNT that wanted you out of work, unable to go anywhere and/or dead. Fuck ’em. I hope they’re all fully boosted and vaxxed.
I’ll never forget what these people did. Never. Who calls their fucking band “Twiddle”, anyway? You click on the link and it takes you back to the original email…idiots. I looked them up on youtube, that was a mistake. It’s a bunch of they/them quares whose music sucks. Wikipedia says about them, “They are a jam band, and utilize instrumental improvisation in their live performances. They incorporate influences from a variety of music genres, including rock, jazz, bluegrass, reggae, and funk.” Of course they’re a fucking jam band. I HATE JAM BANDS. They’re also from Vermont. (of course) Their press release about their new album says thus, “Every Last Leaf , the fifth full-length studio album from Vermont quartet Twiddle, is a bold exploration of the cyclical nature of life.” Fuck me, it just keeps getting worse.I listened to the title track. It’s basically musical wallpaper, but remember they are a “Jam Band”, they don’t need actual songs. It’s waffle. The Grateful Dead excelled at that, and frankly we never needed another band like that ever again, not that we fucking needed the Grateful Dead in the first fucking place . My review – Twiddle sucks. I wish I’d never heard of them.
I’d be willing to bet that every single member of Twiddle is A. Fully vaxxed and boosted and B. Is a flaming Progressive/Commie. It’s a shit name for a band. I feel like I should say more about how much I hate them, but we haven’t got all day. Fucking twiddle. These fuckers are touring all over. People have no taste obviously.
Let’s talk about someone with genuine talent…. me. My guitar is due to arrive today. It left New Jersey last night and is ‘out for delivery’. It’s like a positive life affirming mantra “out for delivery’. Devotees of Gaia should chant this…”out for delivery, out for delivery…” It may show up later today, but it ain’t here yet. It will probably be going almost directly the the guitar techs up the road for a set-up. I hate changing strings, I’m no good at it. All I wanna do is play the thing. I’m like Neil Young in that instance, I’ve heard him say as much. I’m like Neil Young without the climate change and the anti-Americanism/pro communism, yet still making a fortune from Capitalism and being *vaxxed and boosted. I’m like nobody else really, which makes it a difficult sell. People need to be told what they should like. I’m not paying anyone to tell them that. That’s how the music business works. Payola never went away, which explains why the radio is knee deep in the utter shit that passes for music these days. I’m including Twiddle right in there, in case there is any doubt about it. (maybe I’m being too harsh, there’s far worse out there than their bullshit)

In an open letter to his management team on Monday, Young wrote that he wanted “to let Spotify know immediately TODAY that I want all my music off their platform,” according to multiple news outlets. Young cited COVID-19 vaccine misinformation promoted by Joe Rogan, host of the streaming platform’s popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE).
“I am doing this because Spotify is spreading fake information about vaccines – potentially causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them,” Young reportedly wrote. “Please act on this immediately today and keep me informed of the time schedule.”
