Tuesday
I was trying to order some new tires today. I did the penny test where you put an upside down penny in the tread and if Lincoln's head is covered you still have some use left. Lincoln's head was barely covered, so I did the next test which involves a quarter. If Washington's head is covered you have tread. Washington was wearing a tiny hat. Make of that what you will but, I it means I need new tires.
I tried ordering them online. I couldn't sign into my account, the password was wrong they told me. It wasn't wrong. The entire online interface isn't functionally supporting a login. This happened recently when I was trying to order an air conditioner from the Home Depot. Nothing worked. What's going on here? Who is doing the web coding for these organizations? It's all turning to shit. I looked up who manages the Home Depot's web infrastrcture. This was the answer I got, As of recent organizational data, Fahim Siddiqui serves as the EVP & CIO, overseeing the strategic direction of technology initiatives, including e-commerce and digital transformation.
This was very interesting. Who is this Fahim guy? He's not doing a good job IMHO. I looked up BJ's (the tire place) and it said Monica Schwartz is executive vice president, chief information and digital officer of the company. She is responsible for driving the company’s vision and strategy for its e-commerce and digital efforts, as well as for the strategic leadership and direction of the company’s information technology organization.
Again, Monica doesn't appear to be doing a good job because the fucking website doesn't work.
Why am I bothering to find out this useless information? I don't know, I just like to discover why things aren't working and who's responsible for it, that's all. I called them and talked to a robot. Because I couldn't log in to place my order I had to drive to the fucking place and physically hand over my credit card to place the order. It was an inconvenience that I didn't need.
That's my day so far, I hope yours is going better. I probably should have asked "my new personal AI agent" that I saw on Instagram this morning. Some kind of morbidly obese misshapen blob appeared at the bottom of the screen. It probably had a name but I've forgotten what it was. Let's call it shithead for now. This thing is going to help you do tasks while you're off doing other things. It didn't come up when I just checked it now. Instead Zuckerberg is inquiring whether or not I'm registered to vote. None of your business, chump.
So shithead the blob is just gonna harvest all your info anyway. While you're off basket weaving or taking your cat to the vet for a $3000 procedure it will handle everything to the point where you will be unable to function in society any more without it. AI can be useful, as you see I use it to find out things, but allowing Meta to do all that for me isn't something I'm interested in. People already hate the Zuck "pervert" glasses that these creeps are wearing, why would anyone trust these people with personal information?
The future of AI isn't some major catastrophe it's a slow rot of people's minds. It's not like people are not fucked in the head already. This will be the final blow to tip them over into total zombie control.
Good Day
Space Force has weapons in space now. God Bless the USA!!!
