It's Tuesday.

I'm having my one cafe latte of the day made by me, of course. I've tried having more than one a day, I just can't do it. Tea is what I would drink if I needed some kind of caffeine boost after this. A lot of days it's just the one coffee and that's it.  What else? Nothing much.

I called Jon yesterday and left a message. No reply as yet. I don't know what's going on with him, and maybe I never will. Bass players come and bass players go, what are ya gonna do?  It's tough playing in a band that never leaves the rehearsal room I tell ya.

It's all so monumentally boring that it's putting me to sleep. Yesterday I read a story about some "rapper" who lives in Florida who has painted his house black. I've never heard of this guy, but apparently he has enough money to buy a $7.5 million dollar mansion and paint the entire thing black . In Florida that would seem to be almost a retarded thing to do, but whatever man...The fellow in question is somebody calling himself Trippie Redd, aka known as Micheal Lamar White. Trippie  Redd is one of the most long lasting and most successful stories from the "SoundCloud wave". (whatever that is). I just saw that on a video, "The Truth About Trippie Redd".

I had to stop watching it because they're talking about people I've never heard of, and things I'm not interested in. I guess I should at least listen to this cat's "music" and make up my own mind......    I wish I hadn't actually. As is per usual it's Rap "music". Completely predictable and boring like every other fucking rap song. Good luck to him anyway. I hope his black house doesn't get too hot in the summertime. I just don't get it at all, but this track which "dropped" like a corpse into the Ganges two weeks ago has already had 250k views on Youtube.

Clearly I'm doing something wrong.

It would be easy to become demoralized if you start examining the amount of attention this kind of pointless "urban poetry to a beat" gets on Youtube, but you have to understand that none of it is genuine in any way as a popular movement. The whole rap thing was pushed on the public by record companies. There is no way that anyone who likes music could legitimately enjoy this dross as "music".  It's cult stuff, specific to a minority. You might enjoy it as a cultural phenomenon of that minority group perhaps.

You hear people say, "Oh I love rap music" all the time. Do you really? You obviously don't know what music is then. "Rap" or "Hip Hop" or whatever the fuck edgy name these weasels are calling it, isn't music. It never will be. Whatever it is, it will disappear as quickly as it arrived. It will hang on of course in a vestigal presence, but it's time in the sun is fading. Unlike rock music which was similarly written off, Rap doesn't have much to offer in the way of innovation. It's all the same shit, all the fucking time   The record companies are beginning to ditch it now and they have turned their attention to country music. This means that they've begun the process of destroying the traditional version of it completely. Replacing the whiteness with something else. I'll leave it to the reader to figure out why.

Meanwhile in my ecosystem, I'm up to 42 views this week and that's from a video that was published 5 days ago. It's double what I normally get. Let's gooo! I am fully convinced that if the same people promoting Rap music or what they're calling country today, were pushing what I do to the forefront of gullible people's attention, I would have 250k views in no time.  It's not about how good you are, it's who you know. That's what the world has always been like, whether you like it or not. Also, "History" is mostly bullshit.

Good Day.

Kids, get out there and start marching...
