My local library

just emailed me a survey about the future of the library.  One of the first questions was "do you prefer to fill out this survey in English or Spanish". This question shouldn't even be asked because the official language of the United States is English as far as I know.

In my state Kathy Hochul is running for re-election as governor. Her campaign fliers have been littering my mailbox. These are the three issues that Kathy is concerned about. It's what's printed on the flier, " Plantandole cara a Trump"...oops, sorry, it's printed in both English and Spanish. I'll start again.. "Standing up to Trump, Cracking down on illegal guns, Stopping Ice."

The last one is a real head scratcher. Stopping Ice? Unless I'm mistaken, ICE is Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a U.S. federal law enforcement agency under the Department of Homeland Security responsible for interior immigration enforcement and investigating cross-border crimes.

Kathy Hochul wants to stop these people from doing their job. Who does Hochul actually represent then? It can't be the American people because in a law abiding society people are expected to obey the laws. Breaking into the US illegally is AGAINST THE LAW. It's a cross border crime if you will. Therefore we must assume that Kathy Hochul is on the side of the lawbreakers. Why hasn't ICE arrested Kathy Hochul for aiding an abetting illegal aliens? It's a mystery. Who votes for these people? Kathy Hochul doesn't even belong in this country, let alone being governor of NY State with this stated position. She stands against everything America stands for.

I just had lunch with Gary. The food was ok. I don't like eating out very much at all. Everything is oversalted and bland. This was no exception. I'm glad that I'm (so far) allowed to cook my own food. If there are any more Kathy Hochuls in the place we'd  be lining up at the socialist food kitchen for our daily slop. Don't think it can't happen.

When you have people advertising literal sedition as their election policies, you must hope for the best, but expect the worst.

Last night Patrick (one of the other drummers) and new bass guy Alan came over to run through some songs. I like Alan. He also plays  pedal steel,  so maybe I can talk him into the November session when Randy comes down from Vermont. Patrick won't play Rick's kit so I had to tear it down and replace it with what he calls the "circus kit". It's a collection of drums that are completly unrelated to one another, the centerpiece being an ancient 1970''s Ludwig kick drum which looks cool, but has no stabilizing spikes and wobbles when you hit it.

It's perfect for this current election cycle.
