Little Debbie

has been sitting on top of my fridge for about 6 years at least. I haven't looked at the use by date, but I'm sure it has probably expired by now. Of course I was drawn to her in the first place by the packaging. Who wouldn't be? I just haven't had the sense of adventure to open the box and try some. I could be missing a deeply spiritual experince. Halloween is coming up so maybe I'll do an unboxing and post it on Youtube. Strange things happen around here on Halloween.

I just got back from my regular dental checkup. It's just routine where they scrape the barnacles off my teeth, and the dentist comes in and takes a look while I tell him I refuse to floss. I know he hates it, but he really likes me anyway. I'm his "resident anarchist".  He'll find out I'm right one day.

This month has been 'no heat October' because I refuse to turn the central heating on until it gets really cold. It's 46 f outside, so it's nowhere near freezing. These people have never experienced a Melbourne winter without central heat. It's easy.

Despite this, I don't see myself going back there any time soon. I can't imagine what it's like now. I left in the late 80's and moved to Sydney. I haven't been there much since then apart from a couple of Slaughtermen gigs which are unlikely to happen again.

I've got my own band here and I don't have to leave the house. I'll try and post something we did a couple of days ago on Youtube this week.

Now that it's getting colder it's not too bad. The summer wasn't that nice. It was consistently humid for most of the time. It was great for the plants, but you start to feel like shit after a couple of weeks of it. There wasn't even much swimming. The well went out, and still is. The pond is now used to fill up the toilets instead of hauling buckets inside. You could probably drink it if I put in some serious filter system.  (Not the toilet water, the pond water.. but then again) The water comes from the mountain and it's very clean.

These are fairly mundane things to be talking about today I know. I'm getting a new phone this week. My old one is a Samsung Galaxy A36. I bought it to try out the Starlink satellite system but I never got to do that. This phone is awful. It continually updates, spies on you, deletes files, and changes the ringtone without even asking permission. It's the worst phone I've ever had. Do not buy unless you enjoy not being in complete control of your life.  It does take good pictures but it's not worth all the other bullshit.

My truck is at the mechanics this week. The transmission has a solenoid problem. It's too complicated to discuss here. Hopefully the guy can fix it, otherwise I'll just drive it around the property until it falls to bits.

That's all that's going on right now. I made some Texas Six Gun Chilli. It sounds impressive but it's just the brand name. Tastes great though.

Good Day
