It’s colder outside

than it is inside. It’s still warm however. I’m sick of this cunting weather. It rained this morning but it’s exhausting dealing with the humidity. Whatever man, fuck it. There is so much garbage floating around in the world. The humidity of trash culture, mental illness, and the cognitive dissonance of watching war crimes take place in real time, yet nobody in the entire world seems capable of doing anything about it. You find out who’s running things fairly quickly, and they have far too much influence.

I don’t want today’s journal to be a complete downer, so I’ll talk about something else. After it rained all afternoon yesterday I was very pleased to discover that the drain that I had painstakingly unblocked last week, was again working. My advice to anyone with an ancient dwelling would be to invest in a cheap chinese made drain snake machine. Mine cost only a couple of hundred bucks, but it has saved me a lot more due to the fact of not having to hire idiots who have no idea what they’re doing. One guy in particular I hired to unblock a drain in the basement years ago. This moron literally had no idea what he was doing, fixed nothing and charged me $200 for it. I now know what a an incompetent fool I was dealing with, but back then I assumed people knew what they were doing.

It’s the “trusted partners” part that might be the problem here

This has happened more often than not, using tradesmen from this area, to the point that I am reluctant to employ anyone to fix anything. If I can do it myself I will. This neck of the woods is like the happy hunting grounds for flaky tradesmen. It’s full of progressives who will happily shell out an arm or a leg to pay for something to be renovated, or fixed. They have no idea how to do it themselves, so they are at the mercy of these dishonorable people, who will bullshit to them all day long. The highway robbers hate me, because I know what they’re up to.

Plumbing was a real eye opener. When I hired a company here to unblock a drain in the first year of buying this place, they proceeded to destroy part of the wall. They didn’t fix anything and charged me thousands of dollars for it. These people were nothing short of asshole thieves. When I finally found a good plumber, Julius an ancient black guy, who somebody recommeded to me, there was no turning back.

I watched Julius as he did things. I spent hours with him as he struggled to fix busted boilers and broken pipes. He shared plumbing black arts with me. He saved me a fortune. Julius is gone now, and I still miss him. He had his quirks of course. I would know that he wasn’t going to show up if he told he’d be there on Saturday. He was contemptuous of the crooks who had ripped me off previously. “It’s like they held a pencil to your head like a gun.” he said, when I first met him. His tool of choice was a simple set of pliers with a blue handle. I called them the “Julius specials”. He used them for everything.

I didn’t know Julius had passed away. One day I was out for a walk and was trying to cross the road that runs down by the river. I was having trouble because there was an endless funeral procession of cars that stretched way down the street. This was obviously somebody important.

Breaking News – The interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, also known as C/2025 N1 (ATLAS), was discovered on July 1, 2025, using the ATLAS telescope system. According to scientists, this new object has entered the Solar System and is significantly larger than its predecessors. Some researchers believe it could be a rocket, while others suggest it may be an alien probe or spacecraft. We can talk about this tomorrow.

Good Day.
