“Geneva, 5 August 2025 – The second part of the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment (INC-5.2), opened today in Geneva. The session aims to finalize and approve the text of the agreement and forward it for consideration and adoption at a future Diplomatic Conference of Plenipotentiaries.” No doubt there are plenty of potentiaries looking to make a quck buck from this.
This can only mean one thing. Wealthy western countries are going to be paying for this. Most of the plastic pollution comes from places like the Phillipines, South East Asia, and India. This story comes from the United Nations Environment Programme website. Just in case the Global Warming Scam runs out of steam, they are preparing this one as a back up plan.

I fully expect tiny Pacific Nations to start screaming that plastic is destroying their habitat and that we should pay to clean it up. “Over the coming days, we have an opportunity to make a real difference — by negotiating an effective Plastics Treaty and identifying comprehensive solutions and measures that address the full life cycle of plastic,” said Katrin Schneeberger, Director of the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment.” What the fuck “treaty” is going to stop idiots in these third world shitholes from doing what the’ve always done? An estimated 73,000 tonnes of plastic waste is carried down Bangladesh’s rivers and out into the sea every year.
“On paper Bangladesh has anti-pollution laws that should keep pollution to a minimum. For instance, all textile factories should have an effluent treatment plant (ETP) that treats and cleans industrial wastewater so that it can be safely returned to streams and rivers. However, these machines are expensive to buy and costly to run. Corruption at all levels of society has long been widespread in Bangladesh (in 2024, the Corruption Perceptions Index placed Bangladesh at 151st out of 180 countries – with 180 being the most corrupt)”

Ditto for almost everywhere else that plastic is suffocating nature and everything in its path. We’re not going to stop monkeys from throwing trash everywhere, but we can stop making plastic packaging. That’s the only way this will be ever be achieved. The Universe is littered with human trash already. God knows how many broken down peices of space junk are orbiting the planet now. “The amount of space junk orbiting Earth is substantial and growing. There are approximately 36,000 objects larger than 10 centimeters in orbit, with about 30,000 of these being catalogued and tracked by space surveillance networks.”
Back on earth we could start by not packaging everything in plastic, but I don’t see that happening unless the plastic manufacturers and the people who use their products are leaned on. Been in a supermarket lately? Things that were never in plastic are now in..you guessed it..plastic. Do chicken drumsticks really need to be indivually cocooned in plastic? Every fucking consumer item that arrives from a factory now, for example a garden bench, is smothered in this stuff. It’s not neccessary.
Ugh! At least it’s a diversion from the full blown insanity going on in the Middle East. How people can observe this without some kind of understanding other than how they’ve been brainwashed to think about it, it beyond me. No wonder ther is so much mental illness in the community. This stuff is breaking people’s minds because it goes against everything they have been taught that is real and true.
Meanwhile, I look forward to the day when we get back to paper and glass, and eliminating more of the toxic things that are making life so unbearable in this century. We all know what the problems are. There isn’t any confusion about it.
