I hope the sacrifice was worth it.
The mentally ill people across the street are having their expansive lawns mowed and it’s making a God-awful racket. One should expect this to occur sometime in spring or summer but there was an unseasonable freeze watch last night and the grass is barely half an inch high. This should simply not be happening in a sane world, but it is. There’s no accounting for stupidity around here. These are the same people who I’ve met a number of times yet will still say to me, hello, have we met before? They live across the fucking street for fuck’s sake.
I don’t interact with anyone around here apart from my neighbor who isn’t always here, and the old guy who lives next to her. Everyone I knew went dark after Trump unexpectedly, (for them) won the 2018 election. Admittedly it wasn’t a great deal of people, and I am hardly a rabid Trump supporter, but somehow because I thought Bernie Sanders was unworthy, I too, became unworthy overnight. It was like the schoolyard turned against me. Actually it was really only one person but I thought we were friends. We even worked together on a video project for a while. Hi Merle!

This is why I don’t talk about politics any more. No matter who you support, half of everybody else is gonna hate you for it, so I stay out of it, here on these pages at least. I’m waiting for Rick and Jon to show up for today’s rehearsal. I’ve installed my newly repaired keyboard in the music room, so that will be interesting. How long does it take to mow grass that’s not even there? They’ve been doing this for hours. Now some idiot with a leaf blower is sweeping the sidewalk of imaginary leaves. There’s trash down there, but he doesn’t want to touch that. It’s clearly not his job, oh no.
Oh boy, I’ll be glad to get to Florida for a while. I’ll try and write something every day, but it may not be much. Maybe I’ll just post pictures. Nobody cares anyway.
