is coming up. I didn’t have any Ovaltine before I went to bed last night, so I didn’t wake up gay. Never mind, it’s not something or somebody I’m after. Strictly hetero here. I had some lemon ginger tea, hopefully I still woke up radiant as usual. The weekend is taking on a decidedly warm turn but I won’t be going up north just yet. I did however just order a new barbeque smoker grill on fleabay to replace the one that rusted out last year. I thought I could weld it together but couldn’t be bothered. I’ve got all the equipment in fact. I’m not much into welding I have to say, rather into “wielding” as in an axe of the stringed variety.

This fakakta word play is pretty much an indication of the lack of things to talk about this morning. I guess I could lob on to the news sites to get the gist of what’s concerning the world at large. The breaking news from AOL (remember them?) is that Jodie Foster was photographed walking with a cane while on a grocery run with her “wife”, Alexandra Hedison, in New York City. Nobody seems to know why Jodes was walking with a cane, but the speculation is that…well nothing. I could care less really. I don’t even know why I’m talking about this at all. Jodie Foster doesn’t care what I do, why should I be concerned with her gay life?

My wifi adapters arrived today from Full Strong Ping. I think that’s Trump’s Chinese pseudonym.
Today’s journal did start out gay as I have just realized, so maybe it was meant to be? I haven’t heard back from Rick yet about his new job schedule. Rick told me a couple of days ago that he had landed two jobs. The first one was at Fedex and started at 2 o clock in the morning. Rick gave that away after a couple of days.
He told me that lifting 60 pound packages all night started to get very tiring after a while . These are the kind of jobs I was doing in my twenties. God help Rick that he has to do this stuff to get by. His other job was at the hardware store Lowes. It is during the daytime so I think he’ll probably stick with that.

I have done all kinds of shitty jobs, from working at the Footscray meat works, selling Cable TV, night shift at a sticky tape factory, the rag trade, office work, clothing salesman, driving cabs, you name it. I’m unemployable actually. I can’t do anything good.

I wanted to post a picture of the Angliss meat works where I worked for a while, but then I was greeted with this snowflake ‘cultural sensitivity’ bullshit that the taxpayer funded Victoria Museums Collection is displaying for “First Nations People” people to “understand” in order to look at a fucking picture that has nothing to do with anything. If there are people living in this world who are are still worried about looking at images of deceased people, then maybe they should abandon all modern technology and retreat from modern life altogether. If you can read English, maybe you’ve arrived in a place where you shouldn’t be worried about such things anymore?

In 1995 the Australian mint issued a $50 bank note with a portrait of David Unaipon who was an Aboriginal Australian preacher, inventor, and author who has been widely credited as the first Aboriginal published author. He’s been dead almost 60 years. The only conclusion to come to regarding this “cultural insensitivity” outrage is that the government never imagined Aborigines would ever be in possession of a $50 note, so they would never actually see one. In the light of the modern apartheid that everyone is forced to live under, I think they should be consistent and remove this cat from the money ASAP.
Happy Friday
