It was hot and muggy so I stayed inside. I started re recording a couple of songs by putting down some drum tracks. Then I got bored and made some vegetable curry. That was pretty good. The rest of the time I faffed about trying to think of ways to waste an entire day. I think I was quite successful.
When you live in the eternal now it’s easy to do. Last night the planet Venus was spectacularly visible adjacent to the Moon. One doesn’t normally get to see it that clearly, but there it was right next to a fingernail of a new Moon.
There is a good telescope in Vermont and I’ve looked at Mars and Jupiter through it. It fell over a couple of years ago and the viewfinder kind of broke I think. I’ll have to get it out and see if I can see Mars again. I know what it looks like, but it’s not the same as seeing it with your own eyes. Quite remarkable. On Wednesday night the Moon actually occulted (passed in front of) the planet Venus. I missed it I’m afraid.

There’s always stuff happening in the sky…aliens, eclipses, solar flares. Elon Musk’s satellites etc etc. If you go to NASA’s home page they’re talking about the James Webb Space Telescope’s observations of HD 80606 b, an exoplanet four times the mass of Jupiter with an extremely elliptical orbit that sweeps close by its Sun-like star. They’re calling it the the “roasted exoplanet” because of it’s close proximity to the sun it orbits. I guess this thing is in our solar system. NASA doesn’t explain that part. It took a lot of calculations to look at it however, due to the fact that it’s a very long way away.

For the record, I doubt that there was ever a Big Bang that formed the Universe. It’s too convenient a theory in my opinion. AI is still pushing it as fact however, but then AI is as good as what you put in it. AI is not the fucking Oracle though is it?
