It’s been raining a lot

and it’s getting boring. The drains are getting blocked with the fucking leaves that fall off the fucking trees all year long and particularly in the Fall. Living in the desert seems more and more appealing as the years go on. I haven’t heard from my band members this week, so I don’t know if any music will be played. I’ve got tons of other stuff to do anyway. I might even post my new song “The Way That I Feel” today. It’s not quite finished yet and it’s probably still a demo but I like it.

Television detector vans did not work as effective enforcement tools, despite being a prominent scare tactic. The vans served primarily as a psychological deterrent to encourage licence payments rather than as a genuine surveillance fleet. That’s your government in a nutshell.

I’ve got an awful pain in my right shoulder which I’ve had for years. I don’t know how it started but it’s probably from strumming guitar. I can sit under an infrared radiation lamp for a while and that helps. It’s 77 outside and the humidity is 75%. It’s a little better inside at only 50%. In a few short months winter will be back so who cares?

I was trying to fix a blocked drain this morning and inadvertently pulled the old fashioned metal venetian blind out of it’s socket. I was going to throw it away but then I realized it wasn’t really broken, so I put it back. That’s how exciting it is around here.

Someone came to look at the roof on Monday and maybe I’ll get them to replace it. It’s probably 30+ years old so it’s about time. There are a few windows that could be replaced too as well as some gutters. More things than I care to think about right now. But as the dude who looked at the roof said, “this is a cool house.” I hear that a lot, and I guess it’s true. I’ve never owned a house in my life, so if the first one is cool then I’m off to a good start right?

But now I have two houses and the other one was built in 1800. I don’t want to begin to know what the fuck is wrong with it. I know the well may have run dry, but time will tell if that’s the case. The water’s free until it stops flowing then it’s a 20k water bill to turn the tap back on.

Yes, I’m rambling on but that’s sometimes what you get here. No insights, nothing of value really. Just an ordinary, everyday list of domestic grievances.

Breakfast in LA. I need to go back there.

At least the fucking smoke has fucked off back to Canada. What’s next? There always has to be some fakakta crisis to put people off balance. Yesterday another roofer called me and is coming to check out the roof tomorrow. Hopefully his quote will be a little less than the first mob who came by. Nothing’s cheap these days, gnome sayin?

Good Day
