this morning. I just came back from Aldi. They didn’t have the sourdough bread that I wanted but then I thought, did I get that from Trader Joe? Very important and pressing problems. I had my one caffe latte just now and I feel nauseous. This isn’t good, but hopefully it will pass. I sometimes get that feeling when I drink tea, but never coffee. I may have to go caffeine free eventually, I don’t know. Aldi doesn’t open until 9 which is sometimes a pain, but everything is demonstrably cheaper there, compared to the supermarket, and it doesn’t usually stink like some supermarkets do.
I had to go to the Shoprite yesterday for an eye test to renew my NY driver’s licence. The eye doctor is inside the supermarket. It’s a place where you get prescription glasses, but they have a resident optometrist there to check people’s vision and figure out what their prescriptions are, if any.
This lady is very nice and she helped me out when I needed a vision test for my Australian driver’s licence. It turned out to be a waste of time anyway because… well it’s a long story, but if a giant fireball destroyed everyone and everything inside the NSW driver’s licence department I wouldn’t shed a tear at all.
That being said, my vision is so good that I don’t even need glasses to drive. It’s actually gotten better in the past ten years. When I was at the mechanic last week for my car inspection some old dude hobbled in with a walking stick and started complaining about his health problems. The owner of this place has retired and his son has taken over the running of the shop.
Young Ralph (name changed to protect the innocent) doesn’t really want to do it anymore because he’s getting older. Old Ralph has health problems now and the general consensus was that things don’t get better as you get older. The dude with the walking stick was quite dark on the whole getting-older-is-a-time-when you can “sit back and enjoy life, thing”. “Golden Years?”, he spat out derisively, “There are no Golden Years. It’s all downhill from now on.”
Needless to say, it’s worth looking after your health, kids. The fake pandemic and the fake vaccine is still taking its toll everywhere. Everyone is in denial of course, but we’re living through the aftermath and it’s rather depressing if you let it get to you.
I’ve never been convinced that those stupid “flu shots” did any good, so there’s no way I would participate in anything like that. If you did, then hopefully it was only once so you may be ok. It’s the multiple booster people that I’d worry about if I actually cared, but I don’t.
I told everyone I know to avoid it, but in places like Australia they made it almost impossible not to. When you can’t buy food without a vaccine card, it’s egregious forced compliance. If there is any justice in the world there should be Nuremburg trials for the people who did this to everyone. It was a violation of human rights.
