slop is taking over everything. I have been wondering why my music videos are getting half the views they usually do, and there could be a couple of reasons. People don’t think they’re worth watching, Youtube is shadowbanning them, or there is so much AI garbage on there now that it’s overwhelming everything else. The rapper, who I’ve never heard of and whose car was found this week in an LA parking lot with a with dead body inside, got 31 million views on one of his latest videos, so he’s doing ok.
It’s a mystery for sure. The fact that AI rubbish is all over youtube is real however. I’ve watched a few of these things. “Historical figures are brought to life using AI”. They’re fascinating to watch, even though who knows how accurate they are? The dead giveaway that it’s all totally AI generated is the mispronouncing of common words that any English speaker would know. The fine nuances of the English language are lost on a robot which just reads something as it sees it

The AI Bible …not Satanic at all!
I read yesterday that a popular new Youtube channel is the AI Bible. I watched some of that too. If Satan himself isn’t at the helm of that AI slop, I don’t know who is. It was disturbing to say the least. Once AI figures out the English language it’s going to be hard to detect what’s real and what’s not. Entire news organizations will will replaced with AI, you won’t have a clue what you’re even looking at.
The only way you’ll be able to tell if it’s real is if maybe you’re watching the ABC Down Under where the human reporters regularly mangle the English language. They have a thing about employing people from other countries whose command of the host nation’s language is minimal. It’s a DEI thing you understand. The most important job for these idiots is recognizing the traditional owners and custodians of “the land”. Anything else is secondary, including the truth, facts and common sense knowledge.

We clearly need more guys like Hitch. I knew him when I worked at Channel 9. Nice fellow. Called me a young chicken once. It’s funny, I wasn’t scared of anything
After reading the breaking news about Nepal yesterday, I expected to see full coverage on the highly rated and trustworthy BBC. Nothin’, nada. What riots? Why they are ignoring it completely is interesting. When hundreds of people burn down the House of Parliament, the Supreme court, murder government officals and set the set the home of former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal on fire with his wife, Ravi Laxmi Chitrakar, inside, you’d think the auspicious award winning “we can be trusted” BBC would say something about it, wouldn’t ya?
Oh no. People in the UK are already pissed off. We don’t want them getting any ideas, so we’ll pretend that none of it is happening.

You can trust us…sure we can
Yesterday Apple unveiled it’s new iPhone 17. What’s the difference between the iPhone 17 and the iPhone 16 you might ask? Certainly not the price. This phone costs $799 for the base model and over a thousand bucks for the fancy version. What’s it got that justifies the rather large price tag? It’s thinner than ever, has a better camera, a bigger battery.. So what? It’s just a phone.
Who pays a grand for a bloody phone? They say there are over a billion people who will upgrade to this new one. I thought I was paying a lot when I bought a new phone for $250, but a thousand dollars? There’s nothing a phone can do for me that justifies the cost. I wanna get away from my phone, I hate the bloody thing.

There’s a lot happening in the news today, including a story on the NY Post about a foot fetishist who rubbed an old lady’s feet with lotion while pressing his genitals against them. As the Post so succinctly put it, “It took police six years to arrest the creep, finally putting the cuffs on his feet-fixated hands in February 2024. He acknowledged having a foot fetish but denied the accusations against him — though a jury disagreed.” The story is so wierd it almost sounds like it was AI written. I have no idea.

The Post has provided a handy illustration of what a non fetishist foot massage looks like
On Friday I will upload a new video from last Sunday. It’s a new song I wrote not too long ago. We did two versions on the weekend, but by the time we got to the second (and better) one, the cameras had stopped rolling. I might post the audio from that as well. There is a missing verse which isn’t on the video version. Gary brought along a vintage Eko violin bass. It looks cool. Does anyone care? Probably not.
Good Day
