it seems, is sitting around with baited breath wondering who will win the US election tomorrow. I’ll get this out of the way right now. It will be Donald Trump. The only way Kamala Harris can win is if the Democrats cheat again. Many people have forgotten or chosen not to think about the 2020 stolen election. This means there are upwards of 80 million people out there whose votes were thrown in the trash in 2020.
Those people didn’t give up and say , “Oh well, better luck next time”. They know the election was stolen from Trump, it’s fucking obvious when you look at the absurd statistics surrounding Joe Biden’s “win”. Bellwether states, counties, etc etc. Nothing about that “victory” adds up at all, so unless all the people who voted for Trump in an historic landslide have changed their minds or left the country, Trump will win again. That’s all I’m going to say about it. The amount of media gas lighting is off the charts at the moment. Let’s see what happens tomorrow, then we’ll talk.
I think it might snow today, it’s very cold. I just came back from the post office. I picked up a parcel. It was in box number 1488. I for one, am waiting for the Russ Meyer 4k restorations to be released more than anything else. This place I’m in now was the home of an early producer of X rated movies. My barn has 800 cans of film which he owned and left here when he passed away back in 2016. I’ve looked at some of it, and I’d like to look at more. If I put my mind to it and bought an expensive film transfer machine, I could do some 4k restoration work myself. I don’t know what’s on half of these reels. It could be cinematic masterpieces. Then if I do nothing, it will probably end up in the landfill. What do?
One of the real issues of this election that nobody talks about.
A few years ago I subscribed to a group who were developing low cost telecine transfer equipment. I had hopes of them delivering one to me some day. The group seems to have disbanded or lost steam. On Youtube you will find various diy people making their own home made film transfer machines, but I have no idea how to start. I don’t really want to try and find out either. There are some things that I would rather let an expert do. Like my chainsaw which stopped working on the weekend. I have no desire to pull it apart and try and fix it. I’ll leave it to someone who knows what they’re doing.
Over on Ebay you can buy used professional telecine equipment. There is a Thomson Spirit Telecine SDC 2000 Classic 16 & 35mm Gate which would probably do the job. It’s 7500 bucks and it’s not working. Here’s a working Spirit 4k film scanner telecine 35mm + spare Cards + Davici. It’s only nine grand plus $900 shipping. I have no idea how to set it up though. Only nine thousand dollars!
