What the actual fuck does that even mean? How would anyone know? Sounds exactly like Orwellian Newspeak.
For once in a blue moon Sydney’s New Year’s Eve fireworks seem to have taken a back seat this year. There is barely a mention of them anywhere in the news. Usually it’s the first thing you see when you turn on the TV on New Year’s Day here in North America. “Sydney’s fireworks number one!!! We’re the best, blah blah blah!” Someone has decided that it’s not kosher to be celebrating these things right now. I’ll let you figure out why this is the case.

Where’s me Sydney fireworks display??
I don’t care. It fucking snowed last night. Luckily I was able to sweep most of it up before it turned into an ice rink. Since it’s not gonna get above freezing for the rest of the week, that was bound to happen. Last night was uneventful except for the premiering of the 1986 Slaughtermen Rock Arena special which I have remastered (almost) to it’s former glory. The copy I have came from a VHS tape, which was direct dub from the ABC master tape. God knows the ABC has probably erased it by now to make way for more shows about diversity and inclusion, so I’m lucky to have it in the first place.

It appears they have cobbled some archive stuff for Rage. How about the entire episode?
The ABC doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to re-run any Rock Arena shows, maybe because they don’t exist anymore? I would love to see some of them again. There are a few on Youtube that have been uploaded by various individuals but why hasn’t the ABC replayed any of the original series? It’s almost 40 years since they were made. Wikipedia says that the show ran from from 23 February 1982 until 31 January 1989. That’s a lot of material.
This is the first time that you can watch the Slaughtermen episode in it’s entirely now that Youtube isn’t cutting entire songs out because miserable publishers are greedy fucks. I’m not saying people shouldn’t get paid for songwriting, but Youtube generates so much cash that they can probably cover that without butchering up a show like they did to me last time I tried posting it.

We have a brand new Muslim mayor. NYC should now be as wonderful as London is.
I was a little worried about the audio quality, which I haven’t messed with. It sounds fine, but maybe the volume was at a too low level, I don’t know. I’m loathe to pull it off, and it’s 1,000% an improvement on what was posted before. Yes it’s not perfection, but it’s already had 20 views overnight, not bad for something that’s competing with New Year’s Eve.

“Please beam me up” say the few sane people left in the place.
Today I’m not doing much. If the Indian grocery is open I will go over there and get some of their delicious samosas and some brown rice. I hate the stuff they sell in the supermarket, it’s truly awful. Yesterday I bought myself a new guitar. I figured why not? It’s a Gretsch center block model. I played one at the Guitar Center yesterday and I really liked it. If I don’t like this one I bought, I can always send it back. You’ll see it if/when I get together with the band again.
Good Day
