The way things are going, November 5th this year may well be Independence Day as well. We could call it Independence Day 2. Today is band practice day, and it’s gonna be an early start due to the fact that a lot of people will be making their holiday getaway getaways this afternoon. Nobody wants to be caught in shitty traffic, ever. I don’t have much to talk about, but I’ll try and dredge up something to fill this page. As always, if I keep writing, something will surface like a dead body that has broken free from the concrete block it was attached to.
I was listening to the Divinyls “Boys in Town” today. I’ll post it below. It’s probably one of the best Australian hit songs from the early 80’s. It perfectly bridges the gap between New Age and Punk. The singer, Christine Amphlett is a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately for all of us, she took her last breath in 2013 in Manhattan, a little over an hour from where I’m writing this today. Chrissy moved to New York in the late 90’s after the Divinyls finally broke up. She wrote a book about her life called “Pleasure and Pain: My life”. You can get it anywhere that they sell digital or physical books. She was one hot chick for sure. Such a great singer, probably the best Geelong has ever produced.

In other news, not that what I was talking about was news, Trumps “sentencing” has been held over until September, leading to more screaming from the Marxistcrats. They were probably hoping to put him in jail before the Republican Convention which is to be held about two weeks from now. This isn’t election interference though. Remember, Trump is going to destroy democracy itself. From the NBC website, “Trump faces a range of potential sentences, including prison time, probation and a fine. Alvin (the chipmunk) Bragg, who brought the case against Trump, has not yet indicated what kind of sentence he will seek.” This was totally not a Soviet style show trial in an election year though.

Axios tells us that “Joe Biden’s aides have defended his debate performance, saying he struggles to function outside a six-hour window during the day. People close to the “president”, said Biden worked best between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.” ….So the guy is literally in the “sundowning” phase now.
