how dumb some people are. I seem to be permanently locked out of the Facebook account I’ve had for 20 years, but I can still look at posts of people that were once my freinds and acquaintances, by using another account. These are usually people from Planet Australia, where they seem to be trapped in a permanent bubble of stupidity and ignorance, especially when it comes to American politics. I don’t expect much, but the anti Trump stuff still baffles me.
Some cat I used to know, posted something last week after Trump had been found guilty at the Biden Soviet Show trial in New York. The dude posts a screen shot of the story and then underneath he has written. “yeah!” What the fuck? Yeah, Trump is guilty? Yeah, we got him this time? A triumphant “yeah!”. Can an otherwise seemingly intelligent person really be that fucking hopelessly out of touch that they actually believe what the media tells them?
Adam Schiff “Russia Russia Russia”
After watching the ABC’s version of the Trump verdict, it’s not hard to figure out why people have the opposite idea of what actually transpired. Their coverage consisted of replaying a recent interview with Trump where he opined that if he were sentenced to a jail term, the public wouldn’t stand for it.
Naturally this was followed up by an excerpt from a CNN interview with one of Washington’s most rabid anti Trump critics, Russia conspiracy nut, and all round disengenuous creep, Adam Schiff, basically telling people Trump was inciting everyone to violence with those comments. My ‘friend’ doesn’t have an unbiased version of any of it to refer to, although I have to to say that he is also a huge Bruce Springsteen fan, so it’s questionable how his brain functions in the first place.
Speaking of Bruce, there is an hour and a half advertorial airing at the moment on the ABC to do with Bruce’s 2019 vanity project called Western Stars. I watched some of it on the weekend. Bruce has concocted a persona for this epic tale of misery and overindulgent navel gazing. “A burnt out Hollywood western movie actor (or some such horse shit)”. (I think) I honesty thought it was his latest release. What do I know?
It was also Bruce’s directorial debut. He’s got a lot of money, so at least he’s giving classical musicians a paycheck with this thing. In my opinion the whole tedious debacle was malarkey, married to forced hokum. I think that’s his trademark though. I only found out it was more than five years old by reading the Wikipedia entry for it. Brace seems quite lifeless throughout, although the critics raved on and on about how good it was.
Bruce. “I was shot by John Wayne” But you survived.
A lifetime left wing progressive, let’s not forget Springsteen supported Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. He gave solo acoustic performances in support of Obama’s campaign throughout 2008. Oh, that’s probably why this guy I know, hates Trump. Bruce was also shilling for the vax and masks tool. I don’t forget these things. But what’s government stooge Bruce been up to lately?

I’m just going to c/p this whole section from Wikipedia because I find it interesting… “In September 2023, Springsteen announced the postponement of eight shows scheduled for September. Springsteen was undergoing treatment for peptic ulcer disease and doctors recommended he not perform live. A few days later, the remaining twelve shows scheduled for November through December 2023 were also postponed to dates in March and April, and between August and November 2024. In total, twenty-nine shows on the tour have been postponed due to Springsteen’s illness along with Springsteen and other members of the band having COVID-19.

Sure he does….He radiates something alright. The absolute state… Maybe tomorrow I’ll post my review of the Nick Cave Warren Ellis concert at Hanging Rock. It was quite strange as was the Springsteen experience, but equally so not in a good way.
