Who is this clown anyway? Waleed Aly is a sunni muslim. I have no idea what that is, nor do I care to find out. He is also, according to Wikipedia “an Author, journalist, newspaper columnist, radio and television presenter, lawyer, academic, guitarist, songwriter” and according to me, an anti American asshole. This asshole is not the first asshole to come up with this not-so-original USA “nation in decline” narrative.
There have been multiple assholes before it. It’s egregious and insulting, but the demented lunatics in the declining Age newspaper, seem to want to go out of their way to insult Americans. For some reason they think the majority of the population here have gotten it all wrong. Trump’s a bad person, and we’re all just delusional. I’m so sick of these individuals and their shitty, lazy journalism. This isn’t even remotely an original idea. I read the article, and unironically it explains exactly why Trump is doing what he is doing. The asshole fails to get it that it is globalism that caused the problem in the first fucking place.

The idiotic narrative reads as if Trump had been running the United States and the entire world since World War Two. That’s the whole point… asshole. This ignoramus of course (Aly is a lecturer in politics at Monash University working in their Global Terrorism Research Centre*) fails to see it, and instead throws more shit on America on his way out the door, “As the economic consequences (of the tariffs) become real, some believers will no doubt waver. But a great many will remain because in the end, we’re watching a festival of sovereignty against a backdrop of lost pride.” Oh, really?
