but what are ya gonna do? I can’t keep up with it. All I want to do is write songs, sing and play guitar in a band. Hey, that’s what I do! I don’t have a “job”. I don’t need a job. At the moment I don’t want to go anywhere either. I’d like a ‘new’ car, by that I mean a new second hand car. I’ll probably never buy a new car, I dunno. It doesn’t appeal to me. Like a new house, I don’t think I’d like it. It would be too new. I’m rambling because I have nothing to say, but I’ll keep writing until something surfaces which I know it eventually will. It’s been bitterly cold this week and it snowed this morning. I’m going to try and post a new music video every week from now on. I must have tens and tens of recordings from these sessions by now. One day I’ll edit them all, when I get some time.
Out in crazy progressive world they’re having meltdowns. The above meme just about sums it up. I don’t know how people get off waving a Mexican flag and them demanding that they not be deported back to the place where the flag they’re waving came from. That’s gotta be some turbo cognitive dissonance they’re exhibiting there.
I don’t want all of these people to leave. I love Mexican food, I love Mexican music. The people who are here legally don’t get a say. All I have to do is imagine what it would be like if the country was flooded with Aussies coming here illegally. I couldn’t stand it. I’d have to leave. Here’s something I want to leave here as a public service message. I have tried to keep these ingredients out of my diet for a while now. You’ll notice just about everything that you find in the supermarket that is processed has one of these seed oils in it. Forget about bleedin’ microplastics, this stuff is everywhere.
I’ve stopped eating take out Chinese because I’ve seen the boxes of Canola oil piled up in the kitchen doorway. No thanks. If I do deep fry anything, which is rarely, I use Ghee which is clarified butter. What is Ghee you might ask? “Ghee is a clarified butter made by separating butterfat from the milk solids and water in butter. Except slightly more concentrated because the extended simmer time allows more water to evaporate, which deepens the flavor imparted by the milk solids.” It lasts a long time in the cupboard as well. While we’re on the subject of food, it looks like we’re experiencing an egg shortage. Not here though. I’ve got just under three dozen eggs stashed away. Don’t ask me how I came by them, it’s complicated.

This journal is all over the place today. I think I’ll quit while I’m ahead. …One last item….”The State Department said Wednesday that U.S. government vessels can now transit the Panama Canal without being charged fees.
“The government of Panama has agreed to no longer charge fees for U.S. government vessels to transit the Panama Canal,” the department said in a post on X, adding the agreement will save the U.S. government millions of dollars a year.” Wow. Now all we have to do is extend it to US commercial ships and the winning will be even better.
