Tonight we’ll be having band practice if all goes well. Yesterday I was out with my friend Gazza and we took a trip down to Jersey for some Vietnamese food. It was fairly easy to find the place, although Jersey is like the Bermuda triangle for cars. It’s not signposted well and once you get off the main roads it’s a rabbit warren of leafy sameness. We got to the restaurant ok, it was getting back on to the 17 that was the problem. This place has an off ramp, but no on ramp, so you have to drive around in the suburban wilderness until you find an place where you can get back to the real world. I have become so lost in Jersey in the past, that I have considered just parking the car I was in and walking away from it, never to return.
Lat night was the finale of the DNC convention. I wasn’t gonna watch any of it, but I was curious to see what Harris would do with her acceptance speech. It was the same stuff which we’ve heard before. Mommy this, mommy that…if she were here she would say blah blah… Anyone would think Mommy was running for office. We haven’t stopped hearing about it all week. Kamela repeated talking points from Biden’s speech which he gave at the beginning of the convention. It largely focused on attacking the people whose votes were thrown in the garbage in 2020, and dared to complain about it. That and Trump naturally, who we were were told is “weak”. If Trump is weak, then I’m the King of Spain.
Trump is also a “felon” because these two weaponized the justice system against him with completely bogus charges. Their whole platform is garbage, but nobody cares anyway. Harris will lose badly, and she should. The Democrats need to start over. Their whole party is rotten to the core. That’s western politics generally anyway. It’s just that some elements of it are in worse shape than others.
Oprah will fix everything
Getting rid of the corrupt UN would be a good start. The World Health organization has no business telling other countries what to do. Nobody voted for these people after all. NO MORE GLOBALISM.
Willie looks unearthly these days
This morning I watched a Youtube video of Willie Nelson at a performance in June this year. Willie seems to be having trouble breathing these days. I just did a search on Willie Nelson and Kamala Harris, because I was curious to know if he supported her. Willie has been known to support progressive candidates in the past. Beto O Rourke comes to mind.
When old flames meet
All my search brought up was pages and pages of stuff about Kamala Harris and Willie Brown. I could care less. What we all want to know is what Taylor Swift’s opinion is on Kamala. Swift endorsed Biden in 2020. Surely if she’s that dumb she’ll come out for Harris, won’t she? Won’t she? The whole world wants to know.
