for the next three days. I walked outside this morning and it felt like Hawaii. It was a good feeling. Overcast, humid and a kind of a warm trade wind kind of breeze. I could probably live on Hawaii if I had something to do. I guess I could hang out with Willie, Todd Rungren and Mick Fleetwoood, the ones that I know about at least. An internet search brings up nothing. Increasingly useless Google tells me a bunch of garbage when I query it, but if I ask if Willie lives on Hawaii I get this, “Willie Nelson owns a beachfront home in Paia, Maui, which he has maintained since purchasing the 6,038-square-foot property in 1983 for $450,000.” Beachfront for $450 k ? No way you’re getting that now.

Yeah, sure that’s Willie’s bedroom. That’s his guitar too. He’s finally had it repaired.
I’ll keep Hawaii in mind if I get enough cash for a beachfront pad. In the meantime, I’ll be in New York State until further notice. I was watching the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth deliver a speech on TV this morning. It felt like I was watching a movie. That’s all I want to say about it.

Yesterday I discovered I could fix my Yamaha P95 digital piano for about $3 in parts. This was a huge breakthrough, because I was on the verge of throwing it out. It’s a really nice instrument with weighted keys, and I was quite disappointed when it stopped working one day. Faulty capacitors, that’s what it was. The guy who sells these parts is less than an hour away from here, so I should get them before the weekend. I still have the MiniNova with a busted key, but I’d rather fix the Yamaha first.

C216 and C217 have got to go
Yes friends, we’re increasingly entering a do it yourself world as society’s supply chains break down and things like quality control that we took for granted are disappearing as the work force is replaced with individuals or robots who don’t have the intelligence to undertake complex tasks. It’s just the way it is, I’m not attacking anyone. The New York Post is back on the Tiger Woods bandwagon this morning with a story that Tiger had two opiate pills in his back pocket when he crashed. I don’t know why this is important but there it is.

This morning when I went out, the streets were deserted. It was like everyone had been raptured. It’s odd because normally at that hour there is plenty of traffic. Are gas prices that high? In Australia the government have temporarily cut the excise tax on fuel. That brought down from $15 a gallon to the regular $10 a gallon. I have no idea if any of this is true* (the prices that is) but I’m sure it was “justified”.
Good Day
*I looked it up. In my old suburb of Mosman today it’s about $9 a gallon. A bargain!
