It’s hot, hot, hot

Wednesday July 10. It’s the humidity that gets you. Currently 59% inside, but I’m not making pizzas or working in a dry cleaners, so I’m glad about that.

In the light of the recent UK elections, it’s worth reminding people that Starmer, the guy who is now PM, in  2021 called for legislation against anti-vaxxers and warned that the misinformation will ‘cost lives’. No word on what his stance is in 2024, but it’s not a good look. I’m sure the British public know who they voted for, so not to worry. This morning there was endless coverage on the BBC about a triple murder in a leafy suburb north of London. Someone had killed three people with a cross bow and absconded. The police came on TV and politely asked the killer if he was listening to this, he should contact them for a chat. I’m sure that’s gonna happen.

This is now an LGBTQ plus story

I just looked at the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald. It’s the same old stuff. They need a new theme.

Not this shit again…..

Last night I watched a discussion on the ABC about sexual violence. A study of 5,000 anonymous Australians aged 18 to 45 has revealed more than 20 per cent have committed an act of sexual violence. This is almost a quarter of the population. (well, a quarter of 5,000 people, but “population” sounds better) I was wondering what this “sexual violence” was. It must be an epidemic down there. The study said that “repeated harassment to sex, emotionally and psychologically blackmailing someone for sex and pressuring someone to take alcohol and drugs in order to have sex with them,” was “sexual violence.”

Associate director at the Centre for Innovative Justice at RMIT Elena Campbell. What the fuck is “innovative justice” Shit you make up on the fly according to how you feel that day?

Indeed, after watching the report on TV, anything could be construed as sexual violence now. You tell someone they look nice…. sexual violence. Nobody in Australia has any free will any more. They are unable to fend for themselves without the government stepping in and putting training wheels on how to negotiate relationships. No surprise that men were more likely to have committed sexual violence. I had to turn off the TV, because at some point I realized I was watching full blown mentally ill people having a televized discussion. Today, after reading about this study, I can tell you it’s far more malevolent and toxic than what I thought it was on the surface.

This “sexual violence” is “behavior that has enabled by a culture of entitlement, according to senior lecturer at the Reducing Gender-based Violence Research Group at La Trobe University, Jessica Ison. “”We can see who holds power in our societies, often, particularly white men,” she says. I’m shocked that an entitled academic would say that. Particularly a woman. Being a “senior lecturer” with tenure isn’t entitlement, much.

Senior lecturer at the Reducing Gender-based Violence Research Group at La Trobe University, Dr Jessica Ison has that uncanny tranny look*

These are sick people in my opinion, but they get a voice on a taxpayer funded national broadcasting network. They are effectively domestic terrorists targeting a functioning society in order to undermine it and destroy it. They have mental problems, and they’re not getting away with it any more. Dig a little further and you’ll find out a lot. This is the kind of nonsense that the ABC ( and the media in general) wants you to take seriously.

*Jess’ scholarship engages with emerging legal and social challenges in regulating sex and sexuality with a particular focus on sexual violence prevention, alcohol and other drugs, LGBTQ+ communities and animals/the nonhuman. Her PhD dissertation examined the criminalisation of sex and sexuality with cross-disciplinary engagements with queer and animal studies. She analysed the function of sex offender registries, critiqued laws pertaining to animal sexual assault and queried how sexual assault discourses further entrench social inequality. I rest my case your honor.
