It’s Liberation Day.

President Trump will roll out the new tariff measures in the Rose Garden of the White House at 4:00 pm after Wall Street markets close. Trump has promised a new “golden age” of US industry. I’m seeing lots of Instagram posts talking about spring and rebirth and renewal lately, so that’s a nice change from the usual fear and loathing that pervades almost everything else. This could easily be a part of it. We’ll see what happens.

I couldn’t help but look at the front page of Rolling Stone magazine yesterday, which didn’t disappoint.

It’s barbaric to call for the death penalty, but not barbaric to shoot someone in the back in cold blood. Ok. Double standards much?

If you’re a crypto investor you may be happy with the news that Dogecoin was among the best-performing cryptocurrencies on Tuesday, rallying by over 7%, attracting heightened investor interest. I have to declare that I have some Doge coin myself. I bought it when it was a lot higher than that, but then again when I wanted to buy it at 00000.17 cents, (about as much as I get for a song stream on Spotify) I couldn’t do it without a undertaking a good deal of fuckery that I wasn’t interested in.

Crypto is a casino anyway in my opinion, but it’s entertaining to dabble in it. I don’t think I’ll get rich any time soon. The same goes for songwriting. I keep getting these annoying emails from the org that collects my songwriting airplay royalties down under. These people seem hell bent on changing all the bloody place names to cater to a small (but ever growing) percentage of the population. They’ve gone woke to the point of absurdity. Here are a couple of examples.

“Ball Park Music are as synonymous with Meanjn (Brisbane) and its music scene as you could get. Ball Park Music is the name of a band, Brisbane can be a mean place I’m sure, but that’s where it should stop.

Ball Park Music – lidderally covered in record company slop

Here’s another one, “It’s one of the biggest questions in community radio each week: who’s on the AMRAP charts? On the AMRAP Metro chart, hailing from Kaurna (Adelaide), rock outfit Placement” Just stop it already. It’s annoying. There is no point to this other than to demonstrate that you have nothing better to do than try and rewrite history.

It’s almost as dumb as using those stupid pronouns to describe yourself. Nobody fucking cares. I don’t blame the bands, it’s the woke people who write this garbage at APRA. They’d probably kick me out if they knew I was saying this, but at this point I don’t care what they think.

I watched one of Ball Park Music’s, music videos. The best I can offer is that it is record company slop, but then most stuff is. I shouldn’t even offer an opinion, it’s beneath me in fact. Please stop with the woke horse crap, please. Brisbane is Brisbane, Melbourne is Melbourne and Adelaide is a shithole. But the band Placement aren’t too bad, the lead singer has got something. Just tune them geetars a bit better kids.

Placement “The way you make art is you make a bunch of crap and then you edit out the crap stuff,” I kind of agree, I was doing exactly that today.

I know I should have left it all well alone, but I had to go and click on a link to something else in that email..

In case you were wondering what the plus stands for in LGBTQ+, here’s a run down, “The “+” in LGBTQ+ is used to encompass a list of other identities that fall under the queer umbrella. It aims to include those who identify as queer, intersex, asexual, demisexual, non-binary, gender fluid, pansexual, polyamorous, questioning and many more. The plus is used to indicate that the acronym means everyone in the gender and sexually expansive community. It also represents other sexual identities including pansexual and Two-Spirit.” Aren’t you glad you have this information? It’s so important that everyone knows the origins of modern day mental illness.

Well, this is turned out great today, didn’t it?

It’s all in the Placement
