July is almost over. The year is flying by. It’s still as hot and humid as fuck. I’m supposed to be trying out a new drummer today. We’ll see how that goes. Next month the Far Out band will reconvene for some rockin’ tunes. Time marches on, but remember time is an earthly concept. As we all should know, time does not exist in the universe. How can it? If the universe is endless, then what is the point of time? See how that works now? So don’t worry about any of it. You’re welcome.
What can I say? Over in Europe, Trump just gave Ursula Von Trapp a reality check. I’ll post it here because I agree with everything he says, plus the look on her face is comedy gold.

Don’t tell anyone else it’s a scam, they may not survive the trauma of finding out.
Down on Planet Cuckstralia they have just voted INXS’ “Never Tear Us Apart”, as the hottest Australian song of all time. I don’t think anything I’ve written so far is in the top 100 list, probably never will be. I am reminded however, of the time the Slaughtermen were doing a show at the Melbourne Arts Center. All through this particular gig some fellow kept yelling out “play such and such”, and it was very annoying.

I can’t remember what song(s) he was asking for, but I kept telling him to shut the fuck up. Afterwards this dude comes up to me and tells me it was he who was calling out for these country songs, and was kind of apologetic about it. I didn’t really mind, it was just part of being in a band, it was kind of funny. Anyway, I’m talking to this guy and I’m thinking I’m sure I’ve seen him somewhere before.
Suddenly it dawns on me that it’s Andrew Farris from INXS. They had been doing a show at Melbourne’s Festival Hall that same night, and I guess he had wandered down to our gig in search of something to do. We had a nice conversation about country music as I recall. The reason I’m telling this story is that Andrew wrote the music for “Never Tear Us Apart” that hottest Australian song of all time.
Good Day
Andrew’s gone country with Keith Urbane. Dude..what’s with the hat?
