It’s not yet

Tits…or would you rather see pictures of the dark side of the fucking moon?

Tuesday, but I’m writing this now. I’ve got too much to do tomorrow so I’m getting this done the night before. Nothing much is going to occur between now and then anyway, and I can always update it. Since I don’t discuss politics much, I can just ramble on about things that aren’t time specific, like what I had for dinner. Vegetable curry and fish curry which I made myself. The vegetable curry was a standard Keens curry concoction but the fish curry was a little bit more exotic.

I have a bunch of Indian curry mixes in the cupboard and sometimes I drag them out and use them. I found some whiting in the freezer which I have eaten before but it has a very strong taste, not really to my liking. I figured I could throw it into this curry mix that I made and it might be edible. The thing I made was very spicy and it almost killed the feral taste of the fish, so that was good.

There is an Indian grocery that I go to in Middletown that have the best samosas that I’ve ever eaten, and I went there on Saturday. There is also a Mexican cake shop not far from there too, but it’s always very crowded so I usually walk straight in and out of there without buying anything. This time there was no queue which is always almost out the door so I bought some cakes. I forgot how good they tasted.

Now I’ll have to go back there next week. Those cakes, delicioso en todos los sentidos, I’m tellin’ ya. I don’t really eat out at all much anymore. Gary is always on my case to do lunch, so maybe this Friday I’ll go out with Gazza. He’s paying, so at least it won’t cost me to eat slop. It’s been very disappointing of late. The food is always mediocre and the price is far too much. Eating out ain’t what it used to be, more’s the pity.

I’m desperately trying to remember the last time I had something good at a restaurant, and I can’t. It was probably the take out that I was getting in Hawaii two years ago. I’ve probably got pictures of it somewhere. I think I was shit posting it all on Instagram. I’ll have a look…

There ya go…enough food to choke a gannet, but wait there’s more…

God Almighty that was good stuff…I need to go back there.

So to sum up, dining out mostly sucks unless you’re in Hawaii. I’m not saying there are no good places to eat around here, I just haven’t found any lately. I won’t give up though. It’s probably going to take a trip into the city to find something good. I used to love the Ethiopian food, but there isn’t any around here. Greek food, Vietnamese even Polish kitchens have their moments. Post the fake pandemic a lot of things turned to shit, but maybe it will come back. My faith in the medical profession/big pharma probably won’t.

The trouble is I’ve also gotten used to the no-frills cooking that I do. There’s very little seasoning that goes into it, and by seasoning I mean salt. Too much sodium is in everything. When you cut it out for a while you really can notice it. Every time I have a bowl of raisin bran I wake up with a powerful thirst the next morning. Too much salt is in everything. Then there’s the seed oils. Organic Canola oil is just as shitty as regular old canola oil if you ask me.

Nobody is asking me though. I may as well live on my own Hawaii, cut off from everybody. I just don’t care. I’m exaggerating of course. Thursday is gonna be a Lau Lau day, I do know that..

Good Day
