Miss America – Nobody has any idea that this word is spelled incorrectly
Yesterday it snowed a little. It’s going to be precipitation free for the next couple of days I hope. The days are getting longer too. All we have to do is get through the next couple of months and we won’t be freezing our asses off. Sometimes when I get bored I start watching retarded Youtube videos. The ones with titles like 60 Historical Photos You Weren’t Meant To See! My question is why weren’t you meant to see them? It’s clickbait of course, but these thrown together pieces of shit videos are getting worse. First of all a lot of them have subtitles even though there is a boring idiot talking about what you weren’t meant to see. A lot of the time these AI generated captions are illiterate.

AI mis-hears a word and it comes out as gibberish. I’ve seen this with actual human reporters as well. People are losing the ability to speak English. “Tack” and “tact” for example, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The other thing I really hate is the excision of consonants from popular words like important. In the possession of some individuals it becomes impor-ant. The T has been banished. It sounds retarded to me.

Morning Joe doesn’t appear to know the difference between tack and tact
On the other hand people are adding vowels where they shouldn’t be. Australian “journalists” are guilty of doing this, in fact they’ve been doing it for decades. Unknown has become unknowun. I forget the name of the idiot who first started doing this, but his legacy lives on. One might say it’s flowun like a bird all the way from the 1970’s to the present day. I did hear a channel 10 newsreader pronounce atrocity as autrocity once many years ago. It was such an autrocity that I still haven’t forgotten it.

She’s not the mispronouncer in case you were wondering.
They sure do love their extra vowels down there. Between Youtube and the Fake Media we’re running headlong into Idiocracy now. It’s no joke. But why am I talking about this stuff? It’s imporant to me that’s why. What else is imporant to me today? Well…. there’s another band practice coming up this week. Last Thursday sounded so good that it’s almost unnecessary to rehearse any more. I posted a song from that session on Youtube and it had 100 views in 24 hours. It’s quite a lot for my channel which only has 135 subscribers. Perhaps they all looked at it at once.
If you haven’t already, you should check it out. It costs nothing.

Chad Morgan died last week, and I was surprised he got to 91. He looked like a wreck the time I interviewed him back in the mid 90’s. I didn’t think he’d make another 10 years, but there you go. I had quite a long conversation with Chad in about 1996, and he was cool. It was all captured on videotape by an SBS crew. Simon Marnie was the producer of this music TV show (I forget the name) and I proposed to him that I go forth and interview some of the Aussie country music greats for the show. So, for the next few months I tracked down and talked to quite a few legends of Aussie country music about their lives and career and the history of the genre.

Slim Dusty – ” ‘e ‘ad a purple Fairmont…purple it was…“
Reg Lyndsay, Chad Morgan, Jimmy Little, Nev Nicholls, Slim Dusty, Joy and Anne Kirkpatrick and Smoky Dawson were just a few of the people I hung out with. It’s all on videotape. I have hours of material. One day I took it to one of the record companies who had made a lot of money from these people to see if they were interested. Nope. It looks like the only way anyone is ever gonna see this stuff is if I put it together myself. I own the tapes.
