That’s what the “hacktivists” posted on social media yesterday. One person’s blatant fascism is another person’s removal of government waste and fraud. It’s funny how these champions of democracy ignore the will of the people, while at the same time claiming to be fighting for the people. It’s very tiresome, plus they have no idea what punctuation is.
Speaking of fucking tiresome, the global warming acolytes are now attacking the humble music venue. This message came in this morning in an email from the writer publisher org that I am a member of. It says “Music venues are the lifeblood of the Australian music scene. “So it is important that they build their climate resilience and help lead the way towards a greener music scene.“
This dude is a patron. Nice teeth.
Really? Why is it important, can anyone tell me? This is the kind of pointless horse shit that’s embedded everything now. It’s like a low level infection of stupidity that is slowly draining the life out of society. It gets worse.
“Our Green Venue Program supports venue operators and staff to implement positive changes to reduce their footprint – and rewards them for taking action.”
My almost non existent royalty payments support this? Great!
Now they want to “incentivize’ venues with rewards for being good little Marxists and complying with their nonsensical scam. “The Green Venue Certification pilot program incentivises and celebrates venues undertaking positive change for the planet.
Participating venues are assessed for their action in key environmental areas such as energy, waste, food and procurement. Once assessed, venues will be published as a Certified Green Venue in our upcoming Green Venues Directory.”

So now if you’re not a part of the hoax and scam that they are trying to shame you into, you’ll be an outcast. You’ll officially be a bad person because you’re not “climate resilient”, what ever the fuck that means. You don’t want to be uncertified do you?
Who is behind this? That’s what I need to know. “Green Music Australia is a registered charity, harnessing the cultural power of our influential music scene to create a greener, safer future.” Ok it’s an NGO, a non profit scam like many of them. These are the things that Elon Musk talked about this week. They get the government (or stupid people) to pay them money on the pretext that they’re doing something good.
It wouldn’t be Progressive ideology without dividing people up like cattle in sale yard.
On their website is some interesting stuff. “A central focus of our activities is to stand in solidarity with First Nations people, who have been protecting this land for tens of thousands of years and have the knowledge and culture to guide us back home.” Back home? Is this another “welcome to country” thing? Nevertheless, we can see it’s not just about climate change it’s also some kind of Aboriginal activist group as well.
Always “resisting”. Whatever there is, they’re against it. Especially the USA, aka Donald Trump.
It’s hard to pin down where the money comes from, and who actually runs this thing. The drummer from Midnight Oil is a “patron”, along with a bunch of other Australian music luminaries, so I guess some of it came from there. On their website is a picture of the board. No names are given. It’s just a bunch of happy smiling people, who are righteously saving the planet.

In fact, after some digging on their dumb website it turns out that the chair of this thing is surprise, surprise.. Tracee Hutchison. I know a bit about Tracee. I worked with her on the SBS nomad (small n) music program in the 90’s. Simon Marnie, who was the producer, sent her out with me as a field producer to help me do some interviews with some of the country music artists who had basically built the Australian recording industry from scratch.
It was my idea to capture these icons before they all disappeared and their stories were lost forever. I don’t think I really needed her, but she was ok, she didn’t get in the way. It was all going along smoothly, but by the end of the series, Tracee had replaced Simon Marnie, and the hours and hours of stories that these Australian country music pioneers had shared, and had been painstakingly collected were shelved. Years later, a lot of these people aren’t alive any more, which makes it even more of a loss if nobody ever sees it.*

I guess people like Slim Dusty, Smoky Dawson, Chad Morgan and Jimmy Little, to mention just a few, were too boring and irrelevant for a show about music . SBS used a lot of resources to film all of this now historic and valuable stuff, but Tracee wasn’t interested in it after she took over. nomad (small n), was in danger of being passed over for a soccer event, so to “save it”, she ditched the entire concept, along with everything I had recorded, and started a kind of battle of the bands competition. That’s how Australia ended up with Silverchair. Great job. Who needs Slim Dusty and his memories?
