I’ve been listening

to North Korea military parade music. Specifically this was, I believe music that was played during the 2023 parade. Wikipedia says, “The parade celebrated the 75th anniversary of the KPA. Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, who presided over the celebration parade, did not make an address. It would be the first time a new ceremonial color of the KPA would be presented in public, as well as the brand new color designs for its service branches and component units. A bigger historical column formed part of the year’s festivities, including a small mobile column of equipment used in the late 1940s.

As the parade was held in February, which is winter in the country, all of the troops wore winter gear.” I haven’t seen the actual parade, but the music is great, fantastic, wildly creative and inspiring. Useless Wikipedia doesn’t give us any information about who wrote the music or performed it. That’s half the fucking impact of the parade. It’s like the music or musicians didn’t even exist. Intercontinental Nuclear bombs aren’t anywhere near as impressive rumbling down the road without a good soundtrack.

The BBC has a story about a parade in 2020, but the most they could come up with was that they were concerned that the parade featured “a huge Intercontinental Ballistic Missile on a launcher vehicle with a colossal eleven axles, so new we don’t even know what name it’s been given.” Oh dear, and this was after Trump has visited Kim in 2018. The Associated press said in 2018 that “During the 70 years that the Kim family has ruled, North Korea’s 30-plus massive military parades have been used as much for propaganda, intimidation and internal unity as for commemorating important anniversaries.” Ha ha, it’s not like the west uses the same tactics on people now at all does it? The only difference is the music in the North Korean parades in my opinion, is better.

Eventually I found a Newsweek article published in Feb 2018 which talks about the music. “While tanks and trucks carrying intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) rolled down the streets in Pyongyang, in the South Korean city of Gangneung, North Korea’s cheerleading band performed at a welcoming ceremony armed only with musical instruments. In the city’s arts center, the North Korean orchestra performance was sold out, Reuters reported, despite a group protesting the performance.”

Unfortunately the story which is headed “It’s All About the Music”, tells us fuck about the music. It’s like the news stories about the current Greek wildfires. I challenge anyone to find a news story in the mainstream media that explains how these fires started. They’ll never tell you because it’s obvious that it was climate change. The BBC even has inserted comments from some UN shill that it’s definitely climate change, you don’t even have to ask any more. Don’t dare question it, either This isn’t journalism or “news” or anything resembling it. It’s propaganda.

I’d be willing to bet this dude isn’t buying the climate change bullshit.

These are the same people tut tutting about North Korea and the oppressive regime they’re running up there. The west is just as fucking oppressive and repressive. The British police and the court system are arresting 12 year old girls for yelling at the police and kicking a door. They’ve lost it completely, and the haven’t even got any good parade music to boot. Anyway, I have finally found out who the musicians are who perform the great music of the parade they are called the Samjiyon Orchestra.

There is a Wikipedia entry about it. It would have been nice if there was a link to it from the page about the parades, but no. There are other Orchestras too, but I’ve filled up this page with too much useless information already, so you can look it up yourself if you’re interested. The link is here

This music is very strange. What I’m hearing a lot is echoes of Disneyland parade music. It’s cartoony and wacky. There are strange tangents occurring all the way through. The over riding theme of a lot of these pieces are the constantly ascending key changes. It’s hard to describe, but the closest I can get is that it sounds vaguely like an on acid version of the Disneyland Main Street Electrical Parade which ran at Disneyland in California from 1972 to 1996. I’ve seen this parade at least twice and it’s pretty cool. I’d love to see the North Korean version with ICBMs rolling down the street instead of Snow White riding on top of a pumpkin, or even better, Snow White riding on an ICBM. That would be awesome. The soundtrack would totally make sense.

Unfortunately I can’t find the version I have which is the music only, but if you skip through the parts where people are giving speeches you’ll hear plenty of what I’m talking about.
