Yesterday Eddie Vedder was trending on X. According to Variety, “Eddie Vedder paused a Pearl Jam concert to slam Harrison Butker’s sexist (according to Variety) commencement speech and say “he looked like such a f—ing p*ssy.”
If you don’t know who Harrison Butker is, he’s a star football player in the NFL. During a recent commencement address at Mount St. Scholastica, a Benedictine College in Kansas, in addition to calling Pride Month a “deadly sin” and bemoaning diversity and equity initiatives, Butker set off waves of criticism when he suggested that women find more fulfillment through getting married and having children than by pursuing careers – directly after quoting a song by Taylor Swift.”
Harrison Butker….. Cancel him!
Oh, the horror! he must be cancelled immediately. According to CNN, “Judging from the hundreds upon hundreds of critical comments on Butker’s Instagram posts and about him on X and TikTok, his remarks did not sit well with many people.” I personally believe it sits very well with the majority of people, and why wouldn’t it? That these assholes like Eddie Vedder and CNN have a lock on what the people want? Vedder is a vaccine shill, having peformed at something called “Vax Live” in 2021.
We’re all so glad that the entire audience and presumably the performers, were fully vaccinated. I tweeted on X that I hoped Eddie was boosted. Back in 2021 that would be seen as a positive comment affirming the effectiveness of the vaccine. Today, not so much. Fuck Eddie Vedder in any case, he should shut up and play guitar. That’s the trouble with a lot of these aging boomer, rich, superannuated rock douchebags. They never shut up, they’re progressive assholes, their music sucks and they are on the wrong side of history.
Maybe if I become famous, this tweet will come back to haunt me, I don’t care. I’m sick of dirtbags like Eddie Vedder and their bullshit. Someone gets up at an obscure Catholic college and espouses the value of modesty for women and traditional values, and NPC zombies like Eddie Vedder get all triggered by it and feel the need to crap all over it. (btw, I wrote this before the Eddie Vedder “taking a shit” comment was discovered). Calling someone you don’t agree with a “pussy” makes you sound like a girl. The only person who ever called me that was the owner of one. I like her, but that pretty mouth will be better used for something other than calling me names.
