It’s always interesting to do. I have no idea how they will turn out. Something which sounds good today will sound like crap tomorrow and vice versa. I bought a cheap keyboard yesterday from a guy on Craiglist. It’s a Yamaha YPG 235. It’s an entry level beginners keyboard. It practically plays the music on it’s own. It’s got a wicked auto accompanying feature. You just pick a style and it will play the rhythm part forever without tiring.
There’s a great temptation to just let the keyboard play all those parts, and just record that and make an album but I won’t do it, not this week anyway. The guy I bought it from has a recording studio in his basement. He’s a cool dude. I’ll probably do some recording with him, and I might even be able to convince him to play in my band.

Life is just a bowl of All Bran
I have to set up Rick’s drum kit tomorrow. It’s not something I’m looking forward to. First off I can’t remember how he had it set up, but unless I do it, it will take longer than it needs to. Rick hasn’t got a car anymore, so I’ll have to pick him up, if he’s in any state to be picked up that is. Playing in bands ain’t easy I tell ya. I can’t do anything else. I can actually, but I don’t wanna. I don’t mind writing this every day.
Since nobody reads it but a chosen few, there’s no pressure to keep to a certain level of quality or even truth, although generally most of what I’m telling you is true. There’s no incentive to lie about stuff, if it turns out to be not true, it’s because what I saw somewhere wasn’t true and I unwittingly repeated it. I’ve done this more than once I’m certain. I did kind of finish a new song this week. I have posted a link to the track below so you can listen. It’s a rough demo but I think it has potential. It’s too slow though I would say.

Gotta love those racist commies
There’s nothing going on in the news worth repeating. Zuckerberg’s Meta projected that 10% of its overall sales in 2024, or about $16 billion, (how the fuck does a dumb social media platform make $160 bil a year?) came from running online ads for scams and banned goods, according to a Thursday report from Reuters. “Those kinds of ads included promotions for “fraudulent e-commerce and investment schemes, illegal online casinos and the sale of banned medical products,” I’m shocked.
The other stock news was that Doordash’s stock plummeted 17% for its worst session ever as investors rejected the company’s aggressive spending strategy. The food delivery platform said it plans to shell out “several hundred million dollars” next year on new product initiatives like autonomous delivery and a new global tech stack.” Autonomous delivery. We’ve all seen the videos where the robot gets trashed and the food gets stolen.

I have no idea why anyone would want any kind of instantly consumable perishable food delivered to their house by some random low paid worker, or even a robot. The number of horrific videos I have seen of delivery guys meddling with people’s orders is enough to put me off forever. The same goes for the rides for hire crowd.
I used to drive a cab years ago. I had to learn shit and pass a test. I’m never getting in a vehicle with a random stranger that I have to summon with an app, I can tell you. That would be uber against everything I stand for, but some of you already know that very well. That’s all I have time for. I have a lunch date with Gaza the bass player, and I’m getting hungry. I’d love for you to join us. Maybe one day, eh?

It’s Friday again. Happy Friday.
