someone tried to assassinate the president of Russia. That’s what Yahoo News said anyway. I’m inclined to believe it this time, although Yahoo news is fake news usually by default. It’s Wednesday morning and it’s pouring down with rain. You have to wonder how much involvement the Biden regime has in the ongoing war over there. The gaslighting media isn’t going to tell us, but people should know. As far as I am aware, you can’t just declare war on another country without congressional approval. Then again, if the whole rotten system is rigged and illegitimate, all bets are off. None of this is going to end well. That much I can tell you.

This morning I was listening to the show that I recorded for a Melbourne radio station a while ago. I kept telling people to go to my website where they would see a picture of the Fortress on the front page. Unfortunately I had forgotten what I’d said back then, and had changed the picture that was there. I had to hurriedly reinstate it this morning so I wouldn’t sound like a liar. I’ve been meaning to replace it with a more seasonal spring version. I’ve even got the picture, but have been to busy/lazy to change it. As of now though, it’s still winter at my house. I’m not there at the moment though. I’m at my, ahem..summer residence. It’s a lot quieter here for a start. I can go for a swim when I want, but not yet. The water is too cold. The authorities issue warnings every year when the weather gets warmer to not go swimming. It will take until oh, I dunno, maybe June to be able to jump in the dam without danger to life and limb.
The show that I recorded sounded ok I guess, upon a second listen. Because I had miscalculated the amount of time I had, there was about ten minutes left over where the host had to fill in with more tracks. Dr Gonzo (that’s his radio name) played some stuff that I haven’t heard in decades. He emailed me with the air date last week and revealed that he had actually bought my first EP. The guy is a legend as far as I’m concerned. Unfortunately he played one of the tracks from it on the air today. Oh well… It’s ok, but the recording is terrible. I remember doing that session. The brother of someone I worked with at Channel 9, had a recording studio, and he said I could use that to make my first record. I don’t remember if I had to pay for it or not, but the engineer we had was learning the job, and the results show that.

TCS Channel 9 – The Armchairs, “Party Time” came from here.
It sounds like shit to be honest. As I was listening to the part of the radio show that I had recorded I could track through the various stages of my recording skills, or lack of them. I haven’t recorded anything in a professional studio since I left Australia. Indeed, I recorded Cementville and and few other things in Sydney at a studio I set up in my apartment. There is some stuff that was recorded at Moonlight studios in Brookvale when I moved to Sydney. The most recent session there was a couple of tracks, Twisted Love and Long Forgotten Dream on the ‘9’ album. https://music.apple.com/us/album/9/965363009
It’s stopped raining now. Maybe the sun will come out? If you landed here for the first time after my endless shilling on the radio, it’s not always like this. This journal veers all over the place. A lot of it can be political, which I know turns people off. I’m trying not to go there, today at least. Tomorrow could be a different story. People don’t need to be reminded that the world has turned into a place where, in a lot of cases, the way you thought things were, has changed and not for the better. The government can’t be trusted to make the right decisions all the time, and what we thought were reliable sources of information, aren’t so reliable any more. It’s not as bad as it seems, but then it’s worse than what you think it is. These are contradictory points of view, but they can exist at the same time. You have to trust yourself in the end.
Here’s the FB link to the radio show. I don’t think you can download it yet. I’ll post a link to the download probably tomorrow when it’s updated. Until then please enjoy this youtube video below. It tries to explain what it’s like to leave the place where you came from, and start a new life somewhere else. tldr; In your new country, to the natural born citizens, you’ll always be from the place you left, even if you’ve been living there for many decades. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just the way people think. It’s the way it should be.
Humans need to feel they belong to their own race/community/ethnicity, even though they may hate it sometimes. When you cut loose from that, it’s like being lost in space. You’ll never really fully belong in your new home, and where you came from isn’t the same any more. It’s just the way it is.
Flannery O’Connor’s character Hazel Motes in Wise Blood put it this way.. “Where you come from is gone, where you thought you were going to was never there, and where you are is no good unless you can get away from it. Where is there a place for you to be? No place… Nothing outside you can give you any place… In yourself right now is all the place you’ve got.”
