A couple of days ago an AFL footballer used a “homophobic slur” on some other player during a game. No word on whether or not he was a queer. This has resulted in his suspension and which means he will miss three matches and have to undertake an education program. That’s the chilling part. Are the educators going to to explain to him that there is no need to be afraid of homosexuals? After all, “homophobia” literally means being afraid of homosexuals. I don’t think many people are afraid of homosexuals.
