Pure New Wool jumper that was made in China has a giant hole in the elbow. It’s probably 20 years old but I like it. It’s hard to find these things now because everything is made from synthetics, even the news. I still don’t know how my nephew down under died. All I know is that he’s not alive anymore at 35. It’s like this happens all the time now and nobody cares to explain any of it. I watched the Pete Hegseth dog and pony show on the BBC this morning. Everyone is so sick of this crap it’s not funny. Two more weeks and then everything will be good. Sure…There are a certain bunch of people in that region who never want peace. It’s in their nature to cause conflict. I won’t name names, I’ll let you decide who they are.

I’m straying into politics so “GET OUT THE CAB!” so to speak. I’m looking forward to my trip to Florida in the next few weeks. It’s been very cold here. It’s only just above freezing this morning. Fortunately down south the weather is much nicer. I was looking at some webcams yesterday. There were palm trees and waves and although it was overcast, it looked much better than what I was experiencing just walking to my car 24 hours ago.

Yesterday’s band practice was so good that the guys want to come back tomorrow to hit all those songs again. It did sound pretty good for the most part. I was playing my Guild T-Bird which I sometimes like and sometimes don’t. Muddy Waters endorsed them in the mid sixties, but they weren’t very popular. It’s an oddball shape with too many buttons and switches, but that’s part of it’s charm.
I mostly liked it yesterday but it needs new strings. I think it could be a real weapon if it was set up right. It can be a beast to play. At one point I got completely lost in the middle of “The South Will Rise Again”. I play a keyboard solo and then switch back to guitar, but for some reason I din’t know where I was on the fret board. I have taken exactly zero guitar lessons in my life so I play by instinct rather than technique. It gets scary because it’s like walking on the edge of a cliff. I’ve fallen off a lot.

Rather than talk about it, I should edit some of the video and post it today, then you’ll see and hear what I’m talking about. I’ll cut out the bad bits on that song though. It’s worse than watching the BBC on a Wednesday morning.

This low-budget American exploitation film was made in a Florida using the Coral Castle theme park as a stand-in for the lunar landscape. There is an interesting back story to this which I will talk about later in the week.
I haven’t been to Florida but twice, and one of the times there was a red tide. The “Florida red tide is a harmful algal bloom caused by the microscopic algae Karenia brevis (K. brevis), which produces potent neurotoxins known as brevetoxins. Inhaled aerosolized toxins can cause respiratory irritation (coughing, wheezing, throat tickle) and eye irritation, particularly for individuals with asthma or chronic lung conditions.”
I can attest to that, and although I don’t have any medical condition that would have made it worse, it was certainly difficult to breve.
Good Day
