If the US ditched the electoral college Democrats would win every election. The people in lesser populated states wouldn’t even have a say in who governs the country. The electoral college ensures that everyone in the country is represented, and not just the overpopulated east and west coasts. Ben Reilly, a visiting professor at the United States Studies Center at Sydney University and an expert on electoral systems says of the electoral college,
“It has never been reformed, so they are still stuck with what seems to most of the world to be a very convoluted and antiquated way to choose a president.”
Oh no, I guess Ben thinks Joe Biden won in an historic landslide in 2020. Ben can stay downunder, if he doesn’t like our system. He sounds like a typical left wing academic. Speaking of jerks, I happened upon the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine while looking for something else yesterday. On the front page there was a frightening picture of Nancy Pelosi, who is featured in an article in the rag.

This is the same woman who publicly tore up Trump’s 2020 State of the Union speech behind his back after he had delivered it to Congress. It was one of the most shameful and petty things anyone has every witnessed in this country. These are the people that also want to tear up the electoral college and reconfigure the supreme court because they’re not ruling in their favor. These are the people that the Australian media adore and root for. They’re already making excuses for why golden Kamala looks she’ll lose to Trump. Not because people like Trump, it’s because of the unfair college electorate.
