On Monday night

I went to the Burger King. I was hungry and I didn’t have time to make any food. It wasn’t what it was like about a year ago, which was about the last time I was there. Burger King regularly puts coupons in the mail every month. The prices are about what they used to be without a coupon, but I guess BK has to get customers through the door, even if it’s tempting them with pre fake pandemic prices. I ordered a double cheeseburger meal which comes with a medium fries and drink. I think it was about $5.49.

The regular price is about $7 and change. First off the burger was tiny. I mean noticeably small. I know it’s not a Whopper or a Quarter Pounder, but it just didn’t look right. The fries were ok and the drink was fine. I ordered a coffee, but they said it would take time to brew so I opted for orange ‘lemonade’. About 2 am the next morning I woke up with a terrible thirst. My mouth felt like I had been eating glue. It was quite disturbing. I don’t think I’ll be going there again.

Go on, say it.

I stopped going to Mc Donalds for the same reason. Everything is shrinking. McDonalds burgers look like they are from Toytown now, and it’s all made with crap ingredients. A Big Mac bun contains high levels of high-fructose corn syrup and sodium. The burger itself contains 970 milligrams of sodium and 1.5 grams of trans fat. You want cheese on that? It contains, Milk, Cream, Water, Cheese Culture, Sodium Citrate, Contains 2% or Less of: Salt, Citric Acid, Sodium Phosphate, Sorbic Acid (Preservative), Lactic Acid, Acetic Acid, Enzymes, Sodium Pyrophosphate, Natural Flavor (Dairy Source), Color Added, Soy Lecithin (Added for Slice Separation). Added color?

I kill you, my nuggets are cold!

Normally the body takes about 24 to 72 hours to digest food. However, hamburgers take a lot more time to digest because they are greasier. It can take more than three days to fully digest a Big Mac.

Also, it takes approximately 51 days to digest trans fat. A Big Mac contains 1.5 grams of trans fat. Different studies have proved that trans fats can be linked to heart disease, obesity, cancer and diabetes. The same probably goes for Burger King, Wendys and every other fast food chain including Taco Bell and places like Kentucky Fried Chicken.

The last time I had KFC it was almost inedible. Most, if not all fast food is inedible now, but wasn’t always like that. Government mandated Minimum Wage laws and corporate greed are just a couple of reasons why it has all turned to shit. People work at these places as a career now. It used to be seasonal work for students and others.

Now they need to be paid well, but nobody is going to buy the cheap slop, so it’s all going down the toilet. I do like Carl’s Jnr and Jack in the Box out West, but I haven’t been there for a while. Then way things are going it’s probably fucked too.
