She’s got that thousand yard killer stare going
The wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner was shot and struck by cops and has since been booked for attempted murder. That’s a tough act to follow. This happened in LA yesterday. Cops responded to a request for backup in locating three misdemeanor hit-and-run suspects who fled a freeway crash scene and ran into a residential neighborhood at around 3:25 p.m. PT. It was there that they encountered a woman holding a hand gun outside a residence. After ordering her to drop the gun several times they shot her in the shoulder after she had allegedly pointed the gun at them. She wasn’t involved in the hit and run, but she definitely got hit herself. She was taken to a nearby hospital with non life threatening injuries.

I don’t know much about the band Weezer, I have to admit. They came out of California in 1992 and have sold 35 million albums word wide. Somebody must like them. They are a quintessential 90’s band I guess. I listened to a couple of their songs on Youtube. They have these annoying little opening story lines before you get to the song. It all sounds the fucking same to me. Heavy fuzz guitar interspersed with jangly “melodic” guitars. One of their more famous songs is Buddy Holly. Me no likey.

Enough of bloody Weezer. That dude’s wife is a firecracker though. I’m all for chicks who have guns, but it’s probably not a good idea to brandish them while cops are around.
Speaking of rock chicks, I was reading about Yoko yesterday. She’s retired from public appearances due to health reasons to a 600 acre farm in upstate New York. It hasn’t been revealed what her health problems are. Yoko is 92 years old, so it could be anything. I’m not going to speculate other than to say I’m grateful to not have to listen to any of her ‘music’. Not that I went out of my way to look for it in the first place.

Still on the subject of Chicks of Rock, Sheryl Crow recently virtue signally sold her black Tesla in protest of who she called “President Musk.” Shezza took to Instagram a few Fridays ago to reveal she had sold the electric car and is donating the money to NPR, which Musk has repeatedly called to defund as his Department of Government Efficiency looks to slash federal funding.
