It’s so over
I thought last nights VP debate would be boring. Boy, was I wrong. It was fascinating. If Trump is elected president this year, I’m not going to be worried if suddenly he’s not around. His VP pick will be able to hit the ground running I’m sure. The weirdo he was up against displayed possibly, the full range of human emotions during the almost 2 hour long debate. I was watching it on PBS until they got bored or angry that Vance was delivering his closing argument and cut the feed in the middle of him talking. They must have really been triggered.
My favorite part of this whole comedy show was watching the women moderators slowly falling in love with Vance and his dreamy blue eyes. Half way though the show you could see when Margaret Brennan addressed Walz, her eyes would narrow and her face was almost scowling. Speaking to Vance, on the other hand, she was almost batting her eyelids at him. Early on they both had shit tested him by trying to shut him down in the middle of answering a question. The fact that he ignored them and kept talking meant that he had successfully passed that test After that, Vance could have done anything to them and they would have sucked it up and asked for more.

That Walz is weird became more apparent last night. He fumbled and bumbled, grimaced and jerked around like Elmer Fudd trying to pin down a wascally wabbit called JD Wance. At one point he was asked if he had lied about being at the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989. Mortified, he tried changing the subject, which only made things worse. In the end he said he had “misspoke”. Lying about things is now “misspeaking”? Ok.

The memes are coming thick and fast now. On Morning Joe, they were scrambling to salvage something from the wreckage of last night’s debacle, which I would say is probably going to rank as one of the worst debate performances since Dementia Joe feel asleep trying to debate Trump, followed by Harris, who was completely overwhelmed by the whole experience. The progressive media are already saying that Vance lied through the whole debate, which is what they said about Trump. That’s all they have. Their Hail Mary that Tim Walz was somehow going to pull their failing campaign out of the weeds, by hitting one out of the park with this debate, is dead on arrival.
