The British PM

has resigned with a whimper. The next chap, Andy Millman isn’t gonna be much better IMO. The place is doomed, but what else is new? The World Mutt Cup drags on and Australia ignominiously lost to the USA on Friday, not helped one bit by kicking an own goal in the first half. It’s a circus, and it’s not entertaining unless you’re interested in the the morbid and macabre.

I just came back from Northern New England where the donuts are fresh and the trees are all green. It was a fun trip as usual, although if I had a private plane it would be quicker.

I’m just gonna leave this X comment here.

The news is all so tiresome, but then it’s getting to be even more tiresome than had previously been envisaged. I’m gonna stop talking about politics now and talk about me. I’ve got a band rehearsal on Thursday, so maybe I’ll have some new video to share. Years ago I was adamant that the Slaughtermen were not going to be involved in the music video side of things. Bands would spend thousands of dollars on these shitty videos and burn through their advances because video was deemed to be the best way to sell their songs.

Search term specifically says Slaughtermen band. Think you can still trust search engines?

When MTV came along it changed the whole music landscape. People didn’t listen to 12″ albums and thoughtfully peruse the cover art, they watched 3 minute video slop with smoke machines and hot chicks which everyone was supposed to think was cool.

Eventually the Slaughtemen did make one music video for a song I wrote called Still Lovin’ You. The bass player’s girlfriend and some friends of hers put it together and it wasn’t bad. It never made to MTV, and it never made it to anything actually. It made it to Youtube where it lives today.

I’m a bit tired after my journey this morning but I’ll try and put in more effort tomorrow.

Good Day
