The middle D key

on my Mininova stopped working last night. It’s a minor catastrophe, but I guess I’ll get through it. I don’t use the Mininova much, but after rearranging my entire workspace, I have a new found desire to record things. I recently found a recording from about 3 years ago. Patrick Kelly who was the drummer at the time, one day brought in this random bass player along called Matt. I don’t know where he found him, but the guy was really good. He only played with us once because shortly after that he found a paying gig on Broadway and we never saw him again. His camera wasn’t working either so I don’t even have a visual of the dude, as you’ll see below.

Anyhoo…. I’m listening to this recording and wondering what it would sound like with keyboards, so in came the Mininova. It’s a smaller version of a thing called the Novavation Nova which was a polyphonic synth that came out in 1999 as far as I can tell. Novation still makes the Mininova but it’s big brother has disappeared. Nobody cares about any of this I know.

Just a few of the gang from the Temasek Foundation who would like you all vaxxed, boosted and with proof of same.

The news this morning is that the World Health Organization is (still) trying to control everyone through vaccine passports and associated bullshit. “In a March 23 announcement, WHO and its partners rolled out a new initiative to expand “Digital Health Wallets,” designed to store and verify personal medical records across borders.

The pitch is simple: make health data portable, trusted, and interoperable no matter where you go. “Countries will begin with digital International Certificates of Vaccination or Prophylaxis before expanding to routine immunization, maternal and child health records and, eventually, broader personal health summaries.” “WHO’s partner on the initiative, the Temasek Foundation, made clear this is a direct continuation of COVID-era policy.”

They can fuck right off with that.

Over in the UK the government are going to insist that all new houses have heat pumps installed. Believe me, there’s nothing quite like sitting in front of the non existent glow of a non functioning heat pump in the middle of winter. Ask me how I know. These people with chairs up their noses have turned their backs on cheap, reliable energy because as we know “Climate Change” is real and is the bedrock of Progressive ideology.

The entire British Commonwealth is infected with this virus and there seems to be no cure, even when gas is $10 a gallon Down under. They don’t want you driving cars anyway. It’s bad for the planet. Ha ha.

In other news from the NY Post this morning, “A careless baggage handler at LAX is facing the music online after he was caught hurling expensive guitars onto the tarmac, as seen in a TikTok video with 4 million views.” If those guitars were really “pricey” they would be in a road case, but whatever.

Qantas squashed a guitar case of mine a few years ago. The guitar (a Fender Tele) looked ok, but I later found out that it had serious cracks in the body. By then it was too late get a new one. They did pay for a new case however. The guy they made me take it to for assessment pronounced that it was “stuffed”. It was bent out of shape, but I managed to force it mostly back into place eventually and it’s still carrying a guitar to this day.

I don’t like airports much. Being in the air for less than 6 hours is fine though. It’s a beautiful day for air travel, not a cloud in the sky. Outside birds are tweeting. It’s what birds do, not humans.

Good Day.
