“There will be

no peace in the Middle East not now, or ever…” That’s a line from Red Flag, a song I wrote in 2019. I am confident that in 50 years the prediction will still be true. Trump says that Israel and Iran “don’t know what the fuck they’re doing”. Believe me, they know what they are doing. It’s in their very nature to continue what they’re doing, particularly in the case of Israel. These people thrive on conflict. The whole point of their existence seems to center around being eternally repressed and the victims of everyone else hating them for some unknown reason. It’s gone on for so long that you have to wonder if it’s not deliberate. Beware of any false flag attacks on US assets or people claiming Iran is responsible. This is how the Iraq war started on 911 according to many people

Anyway… I’m not going to waste my time on this predictable nonsense. My only question is why we even bothered to bomb Iran in the first place? It’s not going to make one bit of difference. Today it is very hot outside. Fortunately I have a room in here where it stays relatively cool. It’s full of someone else’s junk but that’s what you get when you buy a house like this. At least the 800 cans of film are stashed in the barn now, and not taking up valuable space in the house. I’ve been trying to clear out some of it this week, or at least relocate it.

This is a miniscule amount compared to what’s everywhere else here

I’ve found some interesting stuff. Seven years on, I still don’t have any idea of what’s in certain items of furniture that have locked drawers. I don’t want to bust them open because they are nice pieces, so I need to find an old fashioned key that unlocks these things. I probably put it in the barn somewhere. I don’t like going up there, because it’s a repository of junk I don’t wanna see. I have no idea what to do with it all, but I’m thinking a couple of dumpster loads might be a start.

Don’t know what’s in those drawers, but I do like the old clocks

It’s like wild animal kingdom here this week. On Friday a bobcat came leaping out of the bushes in pursuit of a wild turkey. Bobcats aren’t small and neither was the turkey, which I think got away by flapping its wings just enough to levitate out of danger. I fully expect a pack of wolves to appear at any moment. There are foxes, groundhogs, racoons, porcupines, skunks, chipmunks, squirrels, owls, bears, and snakes, and these are just the things I have seen wandering around. Ducks, turtles, frogs, salamanders and fish live in the lake here. I haven’t seen the blue heron this year, but no doubt he’ll turn up sometime.

Unlike the Middle East with all of these diverse species, it’s pretty peaceful most of the time.
