insane around here. When I say around here, I mean the United States of America. Yesterday the Drudge Report website showed this headline,
Who is Hilter? You might ask. The photograph appears to be of Adolf Hitler. Is this some new person that has just appeared from an alternate universe? I had to click on the story to find out more. The author Joseph Konig, is described as “Digital Journalist” whatever that means. I read some of it and I couldn’t discern any “journalism” digital or otherwise. It read like something that came out of Stalinist Russia. In case you’re unaware of what Stalinist Russia looked like, Wikipedia has some info about it.
“Stalinism included the creation of a one man totalitarian police state, rapid industrialization, forced collectivization of agriculture, intensification of class conflict, a cult of personality.” Also under Stalin there was a thing called the Holomodor, a famine in Soviet Ukraine during 1932 and 1933 that resulted in the death of around 3–5 million people. This “death by starvation” was caused when Stalin wanted both to replace Ukraine’s small farms with state-run collectives and punish independence-minded Ukrainians who posed a threat to his totalitarian authority.
What Hilter’s achievements were is unclear. A search for Hilter brings up Hitler. We’re clearly looking for Hilter in this case. Another thing on this banner Drudge headline was “blame the Jews if I lose.” Try as I might, I could not find a quote in the story where Trump said such a thing. I had to try and find a picture of the person who wrote this, what seemed to be an incorrect accounting what someone had said. I found this picture.
Things began to clarify and make sense after I saw this image. When I say “make sense”, of course none of it made sense, however the photograph of the perpetrator of this very odd article told me all I needed to know. This morning the headline was still on Drudge, but Hilter had been banished to be replaced with Hitler, who in the photograph, looks like he means business.
It’s always amusing when people like Joseph here bring up Hitler as an example of a bad person. He’s the ultimate bad guy, and he lives in certain people’s heads 24/7. I would even suggest that without Hitler to demonize, and use as a battering ram against all opposition to what you’re trying to do, (ethnic cleaning springs to mind for some reason) people wouldn’t be so compliant to your threats against them. Call me a cynic, call me a cab, but don’t call me an Uber ok? You I don’t like that, you should be trying to please me.
