we’ve seen a lot of stories about the Olympic Games. Every day in the three countries whose media I watch, have hourly updates on these stupid games. It used to be that they would show you a tally of who the leading country was. I haven’t seen one list in the entire time I’ve watched it this week. Is it not PC to show this information now? A quick search gives the answer. China is numba one! As of this morning China has won 8 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze. Japan is close behind with 7 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze. After that we have France, the host nation with 6 gold, 9 silver and 6 bronze.
France has won more medals than the US, who seem to excel at coming in at everything except first place. There’s an indication of a failing nation if I ever saw one. Progressivism has managed to fuck up the Olympics as well as everything else. It would be interesting to know how Russia would have fared, but since they are le bad now, we won’t find out. As far as I can tell the lat time Russia competed in the summer Olympics was 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, where they finished fourth in the medal tally with 19 gold and 56 total medals.
In 2016 Russia was accused of doping, and the whole thing turned into a giant mess. It doesn’t appear that Russia as a country has participated in any Olympics since, but I could be wrong. At least it’s clear why I haven’t seen a medal tally this week. China is winning, and that’s not good for morale. The losers probably need to pay their athletes more. Here’s another chart showing how much winners are paid by certain countries. Australia clocks in right at the bottom at 13 grand with 10k for second. Why bother going for gold at all when all you get is an extra three thousand? Australia is coming in fifth place after Great Britain, so maybe they just do it for the love of sport, mate.
The Olympics bore me to tears actually, but I have nothing to talk about today. I am enjoying the Kamala boosting and media frenzy that is taking place at the moment. I fear it may be short lived though. The rot will set in soon I have no doubt. You need a good horse to compete in a race and she ain’t it.
The “Trump and Vance are weird” meme seems to have backfired, but the endless memes that have arisen out of this monumental failure to seize the moment, or any moment are pretty funny. They say the left can’t meme, which is patently obvious, but they sure are great at providing free ammunition for everyone to fire back at them. Keep it up.
To people out there who are always quoting “Faux News” as a conservative mouthpiece which promotes right wingers. You might want to recalibrate your thinking box. If this ridiculous poll is (who can tell what’s real anymore?) any indication of which side of politics they are on, that ship has sailed long ago.
