It's Thursday September 10
Band practice was gonna be today but it's been held over until tomorrow. Yesterday I bought a new (second hand) keyboard amp. It's The Peavey KB5. "The KB 5 features separate inputs on each channel and can easily handle voice, microphones and other instruments, including acoustic and electric guitars, drum machines and backing machines, such as CD and DAT players. Other essential features include stereo effects loop, ground lift, master level, XLR balanced stereo line out, DDT™ defeat switch and the capability to drive an external speaker."
It's all good, but I don't need a personal PA system. All these keyboard amps have these features now because I suspect they are being used to play small gigs like the cat who plays blues standards in the shopping mall on the weekend. That being said, I like this amp a lot. When I walked into the music store it was plonked in between a bunch of keyboards and synths. It was being used to demo their gear, so it must be good. It spoke to me in a way that said "buy me", so I did. I was assisted by a very nice young lady called Penny who told me it was probably better than the new one of a different brand that I was planning on buying. It only cost $300 plus tax, so I'm not complaining. It does what I want it to do and that's all that matters.
On the way back I stopped at the Indian grocery to get some samosas. Randy Bulpin told me that they were the best samosas he's ever had. I agree. They are wicked good. Deep fried pyramids of vegetable goodness served up with a couple of bespoke sauces. MM mm. *
I don't really need to talk about anything else now, but I will. Here in the USA the Republicans are having a mid term convention. It's unconventional in as much as it's not normally done for mid term elections. On the ABC Australia they showed some of it as it was happening live. As soon as Trump said "I won the last three presidential elections", they hastily pulled the plug. That's something that will effect the gaslighting that they've all been doing since 2020, which is that Joe Biden legitimately won.
But this is the mainstream NPC media we're talking about here. There isn't a more compromised delusional bunch of frauds you'll likely find this side of North Korea. North Korea is indeed honorable by comparison. I used to read the Age and the Sydney Morning Herald for my downunder news, but now I just check the Noticer. That's a legitimate source compared to the outright lies, disinformation and misinformation that the others accuse it of.
Currently there is a two day hearing in Australia's High Court where the White Australia Party is challenging the "hate crime" laws that the government recently passed, which resulted in the WAP listed as a prohibited hate group.
Part of the government's argument is that these laws are necessary to protect minority groups from a “social crisis of unsuppressed racial hatred”. Against who? And why does everyone hate these "minorities"? Of course when you live in a mostly homogeneous society these problems don't exist, so why break it when it's working so well? What's the end game here?
Forgive me, but when I was growing up in Australia we hardly had any of these problems. White people are already a minority in the world, and to any reasonable person it would appear that western governments, and particularly those of Commonwealth countries are desperately trying to make white people minorities in their own countries. Why would someone seek to extinguish them totally?
As the laws down there stand, it's a hate crime to want to live in a majority white country and associate with people with similar ideas. Something is terribly wrong here. It's a lot about getting votes, because as we all know communists/progressives everywhere can't win elections without tipping the scales in their favor. The other factor is the elephant in the room which nobody will address, but a lot more people are seeing. Once you see it you can't unsee it. History begins to make a lot more sense as well.
Good Day
*before you start accusing me of hypocrisy. I've always liked Indian food, but that doesn't mean I want to live there
I've leared how to embed videos. It's a great day! I want to put more images on the page too, but I haven't figured that out yet.
