Today I finally

got my printer online. It was just a matter of putting in the wifi password but the screen is postage stamp sized so it was a bit of a challenge. For the record it’s an Epson and it works very well. The last printer was POS which would refuse to print unless you kept paying a monthly subscription fee. Fuck you HP!

Now that I’ve got that out of the way, there is no band rehearsal today. I’m ok with it. I have a sore shoulder, so it suits me. I might lay down some new drum tracks for a couple of songs I want to re record.

Albo looking even more retarded than usual

The news today is too heinous to comment on suffice to say that it is reported on Fox news today that some of the contractors who worked on Obama’s Presidential Center apparently haven’t been paid. “A Fox News Digital investigation identified multiple construction firms claiming losses ranging from hundreds of thousands of dollars to tens of millions.”

“The allegations cut against one of the Center’s defining goals: helping minority-owned businesses and local contractors grow through one of Chicago’s highest-profile construction projects. Several of the complaints reviewed by Fox News Digital come from firms that were supposed to benefit from that mission.”

Yes, yes I know Faux News and all that. For the record, I’m not a fan of Murdoch’s Fox News. It’s just as bad as MSNBC as far as I’m concerned, but this is what Trump is routinely accused of, stiffing his contractors. It’s comical to see it happening with Obama. I think they’re trying to get this thing open for tomorrow, Black Liberation Day. Oh, the irony.

The long weekend is coming up. I don’t know if I write anything tomorrow, time will tell. I’ve got a lot of fixin’ to do up at the farmstead. I never have enough time. Everything is growing like crazy for a few months and then the place will be covered in snow. It’s kind of annoying, but we do have the four seasons, there ain’t no doubt about it.

The fallout down under from Pauline Hanson’s speech at the press club continues. It can’t be too long before she starts getting called the “N” word. I had forgotten one of her more egregious policies until I heard the Prime Minister, Antony Albanese talk about it yesterday. Pauline said she would abolish the multi culti broadcaster SBS. Pauline says we don’t need it, but then Albo said “it’s very imported (he can’t pronounce the word important properly) . It’s imported multi cultural slop? I don’t know, but Albo said they show the soccer, and that he was gonna get up at 5 am to watch the USA vs Australia match.

That particular match it starts at 3 pm today local time. I could care less. I’ll be glad when it’s all over, but then next year we’ll have to endure the Women’s World Soccer Cup. Fuck me. *Bread and Circuses anyone?

Good Day

*In ancient Rome, this concept manifested as a political strategy where emperors and politicians provided the grain dole (annona) and lavish spectacles, such as gladiatorial games and chariot races at the Colosseum and Circus Maximus, to maintain social order and prevent unrest among the overpopulated and often hungry citizenry.
This system allowed rulers to consolidate power by distracting the masses with immediate material comforts and diversion rather than addressing deeper societal issues or maintaining democratic engagement.
