Today’s journal

isn’t about politics. The news is really boring, annoying and there’s no solution to anything, so I’m not talking about it again until further notice, and perhaps never again. Last night I had some Jambalaya that I had made on Sunday. When I say I made it, it came from a box that I bought at Ollies Discount store. It cost 99 cents and all I had to do was add some water and some Andouille* sausage. The sausage was what cost the most. It was probably seven bucks I don’t know, I didn’t look at the receipt. Since I bought it from the expensive farmer’s market store I imagine it was expensive. The whole thing was very spicy indeed, and very Gay – O.

Yesterday and today I’ve been messing about with cassettes and vhs tapes. It’s old tech but it still functions. VCRs are really expensive to buy now since I don’t think they make them anymore. I’ll have to go to some more yard sales this summer. People sell them for a few bucks. Last year I bought a fairly pristine cassette deck from the local Fire Department yard sale for 5 bucks. A bargain.

At the moment I’m editing a Go Wild video which was shot with one camera from the side of the stage. One day I’m hoping Ai will allow me to move the perspective around to the front. I think it probably can now anyway, but at a cost I’m not prepared to pay. The audio is over modulated as well. It was recorded with the camera microphone which was sitting right in front of the PA stack. It’s not completely unusable however.

These are the fun things that you can do now. With the advent of Ai every fucking thing, as in generating new songs and new bands and god knows what else, people will be craving something real and authentic from the past. That’s if history hasn’t been completely erased by Ai, which is a distinct possiblity.

They say it’s gonna snow on Wednesday night. I’ll have to drag the old snowblower out again. NPR told me this morning that there would be possibly 5 inches, but the National Weather Service is a little less definite. I’ll guess we’ll have to wait and see. The National Weather Service says this, “Wednesday, A slight chance of showers before 1pm, then a chance of rain after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 46. South wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday Night Rain likely before 4am, then rain likely, possibly mixed with snow. Cloudy, with a low around 27. Calm wind becoming west around 6 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.” “Little or no snow accumulation expected.” Ok, I don’t know who to believe at this point.

Good Day

*In the U.S., the sausage is most often associated with Louisiana Cajun cuisine, where it is a coarse-grained smoked sausage made using pork, garlic, pepper, onions, wine, and seasonings. Once the casing is stuffed, the sausage is smoked again (double smoked)
