Tuesday Sept 8

Hello, I just got back from Veermont. I drove at 80 miles an hour for 99% of the way. It seems to be the standard speed limit now although I had to pass slower people who were sitting in the fast lane. I don't get it. There are signs all along the highway, "slower traffic move to the right lane". These monkeys sit there and ignore the backed up traffic behind them. I hate them so. Having said that I drive a police cruiser so a lot of people see that and get out of the way. It's helpful when you have 200 + miles to go in one morning.
That's about as exciting as it gets around here. There isn't anything specific planned for this week so I might have to attend to the myriad of repair tasks that are always at hand here. Do never buy an old house, especially one that is multi storied and situated in a zone that experiences ice and snow in the winter time. My old drummer Patrick said he would help me fix the chimneys on the roof. One looks like it's about to fall over although it's probably looked like that for 60 years. He said he was going to Europe to do some hiking and stuff and that he would be back in 15 days. I guess I can wait. I want to get the roof fixed, but I have to fix the chimneys first because the rain leaks in where there are gaps. I don't wanna do any of this stuff . I don't know what I wanna do exactly. Probably travel somewhere myself, but where to go?
I really don't like sitting on a plane for more than 5 hours, so that excludes anywhere outside of the continental United States. I'd like to go out west and just drive around. I find it very soothing, plus the food is pretty good. If you're wondering what that looks like I've made a few music videos of my excursions out there . They're all on Youtube. I like Small Town USA the best probably, although The Kings of Rock and Roll is probably a tie.
Anyhoo, I need to make more. Maybe I'll go into full time movie making . Since Russ Meyer is no longer with us there is a huge lack of quality entertainment available. Last night I watched a remastered 4k version of Vixen, made by Russ in 1968. It's a tale about racism, communism, incest and lust. It's brilliant. The best scene is when the Irishman is explaining to the black guy how bad America is and good communism is for the "peasants". This is while they are waiting outside for Vixen and her husband to pack their bags for the journey to Cuba. While this discussion is going on Vixen and her hubby are having wild, passionate sex in the bedroom upstairs.
Only the great Russell Albion Meyer could write a scene like that.
Good Day
I haven't figured out how to embed youtube videos yet. just click on the link below
From last Thursday - the cameras stopped rolling before the song ended but it's still good!
