Uber stupid person California Governor Gavin Newsom assured an audience at the COP30 climate summit in Brazil that his state would continue to prioritize green technology, while blasting U.S. President Donald Trump’s “dumb” decision to reverse the federal government’s course on climate action. Gavin is mentally challeged after all, so we have to cut him some slack.

Trump’s views on climate change were denounced by several Latin American leaders ahead of the start of the COP30 UN summit. The Colombian President Gustavo Petro noted that Trump and high-level U.S. representatives were missing from COP30 as it got under way on Thursday.
Chilean President Kevin Borich said “the president of the United States at the latest United Nations General Assembly said the climate crisis does not exist. That is a lie,” “Mr. Trump is against humanity.” To that I would say “fuck off”.

Not to be outdone British Prime Minister Keir Starmer noted in his COP30 speech “sadly that consensus” on tackling the climate crisis “is gone,” while French President Emmanuel Macron said “climate misinformation today poses a threat to our democracies, to the Paris agenda.” There are those stupid people again.
In an interesting turn of events, Australia has been in a standoff with Turkey for months about who will host the next COP conference, and unless either side yields the event will default to the German city of Bonn Scott.
Australia and Turkey belong to the 28-nation Western European and Others Group whose turn it is to host COP31. The government says Australia has the support of everyone but Turkey, but the final decision must be unanimous. That’s Turkyiee you bigots.

On Monday the band got together. Rick actually showed up. Well, I had to pick him up because he doesn’t have a car at the moment, but it sounded not too bad. 6 and a half out of ten I would say. If I have time this week I will edit some of the video and post it. It has gotten very cold as of yesterday. I looked out the window and it had started snowing. It’s not something that I wanted to see.
Having spend a large number of years living in a temperate climate, I’m not a fan of ice and snow land, but whatever. Nothing really keeps me anywhere in the long term, so I could probably leave if I wanted to. It’s a lazy journal today. I’ve got too much to do. I’ll be back tomorrow with more of the same nonsense probably.
