What the fuck is Bernie doing there?
Really?
“Around 10,000 supporters stood outside City Hall for the Mamdani “Inauguration for a New Era Block Party” crammed into several barricaded pens without access to bathrooms or any food concession stands.” Reported the NY Post yesterday. “Mamdani’s camp billed the event as a public block party along the historic Canyon of Heroes that would have designated viewing areas for “tens of thousands to gather and participate in the ceremony, ensuring the day belongs to all New Yorkers.”

Maamdaami…Maamdaami!
Yeah, sure. It’s only gonna get worse. We’re losing our cities, but nobody with money will want to be there eventually, and then it will be all over. I don’t like the city much. It’s crowded, it stinks and it’s filthy. You can keep it. Tourists will still flock here, and imagine they are in some kind of movie, but that’s all it is, a facade. Living here is hellishly expensive and there’s nowhere to park.

Mamdani’s wife has rather large feet. The shoes are at $630, tres expensive for a socialist I would think.
What a shit show it was. Were there two swearing in ceremonies? In one of them there was disgraced NY attorney general Letitia James swearing ‘Dami in with wifey holding the Islamic bible. I don’t know what Bernie was doing at the other one, because it appears to be the same thing. I have a feeling the one in the Subway was a practice run. Who fucking knows, or cares anyway?

Is this swearing in ceremony number one or number two? That’s not a Hitler salute is it?
I really don’t fucking care. NY City has an overwhelmingly non white population, so of course they’re going to vote for a socialist who promises them free stuff. It’s their way. The guy will never deliver of course, but then the voter base are incredibly thick so it’s a lose, lose situation, DeBlasio was the beginning of the end, and this may very well be the end.

The Age has this curious story this morning. What are they trying to tell us?
It’s Friday, and I keep thinking it’s Monday. It’s been an exhausting week. I am canceling my order for the Gretsch guitar. I decided it just looked too meh for my purposes. There are others I would prefer. I’ve got to have something that makes a statement. I already have maybe 20 guitars, most of which didn’t cost me a lot of money. I don’t have anything worth over $1,000 for example.
No three thousand dollar Gibsons for me. This is a low budget operation here, and I don’t need another boring looking axe to add to the collection.
Finally, the ordeal of Christmas/New Year, something I could live without entirely, is over. Maybe we’ll all be back to normal next week, but I doubt it. The new normal is that nothing is normal anymore.
Happy Friday.
