As is my habit, I was watching the BBC this morning and a story came on about how the tiny Unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy of Tuvalu have invented some new scam to do with “muh climate change”. Because they have convinced people in Cuckstralia and elsewhere that climate change is real and that they are sinking under the ocean, they want to be able to migrate to Australia to get away from it.
I’ll give them points for inventiveness. In 2021 Tuvalu’s foreign minister gave a speech to the UN COP26 climate summit while standing knee-deep in seawater to show how his low-lying Pacific island nation is on the frontline of climate change.
