Where do I begin?

So much has happened in the last 24 hours, it’s hard to keep up. I’m not going to talk about the tranny insanity, although it’s becoming an epidemic it would appear. The pictures of the dude who went berserk are frightening enough. What the hell are these people thinking? Do they have special mirrors or something? Do they not see what we see? It’s baffling. It’s a sad situation we find ourselves in because innocent people are getting caught up in this cognitive dissonance and nobody wants to address the problem.

Isn’t she lovely?

That’s the extent of my political opinion today. I just came back from Aldi and another store where I bought some rock salt. All the snow is melting so I probably won’t need it anymore, however the last bag of it I had was sitting out the back for about five years. I had to break it open this year, so I was thrilled to have some. If these two bags of rock salt remain in the garage for another five years I don’t care. It will be more expensive by then anyway.

Even Hillary is horrified. at what she can’t unsee.

Yesterday was band practice day, which will continue on Thursday. Maybe we’ll even get to learn some new songs. I’ll post a video as soon as I’ve edited one up. This is where Ai could really help me. I’d just tell it, “Here’s five reels of tape. Can you edit it into something that makes sense and is watchable? While you’re at it, mix the multi track audio down to stereo, fix the mistakes and match it up to the video clips that you created.” It’s not too much too ask. “I’m sorry says Ai, I’m too busy putting monkey bodies on public figures and animating people’s pets to look like they’re human.” Not holding my breath for fucking Ai to catch up.

The actor Robert Duvall died on the weekend. I enjoyed him in the Apocalypse Now movie. One day I was at the dentist and he was grinding away at my molars, and I said to him, “I love the smell of amalgam in the morning.” “Smells like victory?” he said without skipping a beat. Funny guy.

The Sacred Cowboys on Punk Town beach

Did you know that the beach side suburb of St Kilda in Melbourne, the home of so much of the 80’s music scene and beyond, was named after the schooner Lady of St Kilda. which l was moored at the main beach for the early part of 1842?

The schooner Lady of St Kilda was named in honour of Lady Grange, who was imprisoned by her husband between 1734 and 1740 on the island of Hirta, the largest island in the St Kilda archipelago, on the western edge of Scotland. It’s a very remote place in the outer Hebrides so he must have really not wanted her around. There is no Saint Kilda, however and the origins of the name are subject of debate. You can read about it here.

Interestingly the area was known under various names before it officially became St Kilda, some of them were ‘Green Knoll’, ‘The Village of Fareham’, and probably the one they should have kept, “Punk Town”.

Good Day

Something I came across listening to 3CR on the weekend. Try not to unredeem your morning coffee involuntarily.
